SOURCE: 2002 NISSAN SENTRA GXE 1.8 POOR IDLE LACKS POWER IDLE FLUCTUATES BETWEEN 1800 TO 1100 RPM

Check for vaccume leaks and also you PCV valve. check the hose too. Visually inspect every vaccume hose you can find. Sounds like a leak .

SOURCE: remove back speaker nissan sentra se-r

I recommend trying to access from the trunk first, There should be 4 screws there to remove. If not, then the grille on top of the speaker should be able to be pulled off and then remove 4 speaker screws from there.

Note - not a solution..just adding my woes!
I drive a 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V.
My car suddenly stalled 1 day and the engine wouldn\'t turn over. Brought it to my mechanic and had the Camshaft position sensor replaced by my mechanic. The car ran fine for about 2 weeks and then the light was back on with the initial symptoms.

Took the car into the dealership and they diagnosed it again as P0335. Said that the mechanic hadn\'t installed the sensor correctly. Charged me a bunch of money to replace the thing and not too long ago the check engine light is on. The Revs bounce around everywhere. Checked the code again and it\'s P0335 yet again! Am in talks with the dealership to get to the bottom of this...

Hey

Most times when you have a cut in power when the RPM's are high that's most likely a "SPARK" problem. However it can also be a "GAS " problem. Does check engine light come ON if it is or even if it NOT ON there can still be a Code stores in your computer. My first thing would be a BAD CRANK sensor/CAM sensor. This is my recommendations you should have this vehicle place on a code scanner/computer AUTO-ZONE does this check for free then get the codes if any is present and get back to me asap. I strongly thing it would be a crank sensor but if not there is a 20% chance its a FUEL PUMP can meet the demand when you hit the gas therefore then engine starves and dies. LEt me know how you made out. Good Luck and Thanks for using FIX YA

Check light is on and it wont rev over 2500rpm this is for a nissan serena *** import

I would check out the mass airflow sensor. In my 300ZX, that is a characteristic of the way the engine protects itself with a MAS failure - the check engine light comes on and you won't be able to rev over 2400 or so RPM. Get some electrical contact cleaner and clean the electrical harness plugs on the MAS as well as those in the harness connector that plugs into it. If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the MAS.
