SOURCE: Fuse location for 2004 suburban

The fuel pump works when you crank the motor and after the motor started, have someone start the car at the same time go to the back and listen for the pump, is inside the fuel tank, but You can her if works or not, bzzzzz! noise, The pump has a Relay inside the engine compartment left side in most GM cars, is a plastic square box plugged in to fuse panel among many others that look the same, but on owners manual is a page that shows fuses and Relays

SOURCE: Trying to find the fuel pump FUSE.

There is no fuse specifically dedicated to the fuel pump on this year and model of Suburban. This Suburban is equipped with dual tanks and as such has two relay switches, primary and secondary, both of which are located at the main fuse box in the engine bay, that power up the respective fuel pumps.

The closest fuse (15A) controlling either of these relays also powers up the main control module (located beside and below the main fuse box). So, if one needs to disconnect the fuel pumps from functioning, then the only effective method is to disconnect the fuel pump relays.

SOURCE: 1994 chevy suburban, no fuel coming from fuel

Put an injector noid light at the injector plug terminals to see if your getting a signal from the PCM(computer). If not try to find a computer from the same vehicle that works and swap it into yours to check.A PCM swap will take about 15minutes.

That was my first thought as well... replace the fuel filter to increase fuel flow to keep up with the higher speeds and acceleration.

You can check to see if the fuel pump is bad..Remove gas cap and listen into tank while another person turns key on.If you here a buzzing noise the fuel pump is most likely OK...If you don't here anything Check owners manual for fuse location and check to see if there are any blown..There is also a fuel relay fuse under the hood

Suburban died... seem that there is no power to the fuel pump relay and no power to the fuel pump. Any clues

The relay should have a fuse located under the hood or possibly in the cab. If fuse is good trace your wiring and inspect it and look for bad or dirty connections.

I have a 1996 gmc suburman and no gas want s to get to the motor if u pur it in the thrattalo bodey it stars after u stop it guts off

check your fuel pump and fuses.
No fuel either means that the fuse is blown, the fuel pump has failed or you are out of fuel..
Chances are the fuel pump has failed and this (if memory serves) is inside the fuel tank so you will not be able to see the pump.
If this is the case, Have a professional take a look as removing the tank and the pump can be hazourdous and presents a risk of fire and explosion.

Fuel problem, not getting fuel changed filter, pump, What now ?

Hi, there is a grey wire that comes from the fuel pump relay, to the pump. This wire must have power while cranking, and running. If you have power, you need to check groung at the pump. If you have power, and ground, and your connection at the pump, and sending unit are good, then you may have a faulty pump. Good luck...Coop

Trouble shoot 1994 GMC will not start

The only two things that can cause an engine not to run is fuel and/or fire. Check the plugs. Pull a wire and ground it to see if it is getting fire. If it is getting fire then its a fuel problem. Anything from a fuel pump, to an ignition fuse. Coils, sensors etc. Fuel or fire.

Turns over but won't start

I'll tell ya what a diesel mechanic told me..."fuel injector pump". It seems that the new low sulfur diesel being sold now wears the seals out on the older pumps. I changed the fuel sending unit and that seemed to help a little, but now while driving it will shut down, and it's hard to start. Going to have the job done now. Part is very expensive! Hope this helps.
