Open bonnet, it should be as you face the car on your right hand side next to the screenwash. On mine (its a diesel so may be in a different place?!) it has a green cap with a comedy picture of a steering wheel on it, it is quite hidden mind by a big plastic cover!!
Good luck

Power steering is most likely out. Check fluid levels first. It may need to be replaced.

POWER STEERING LIGHT COMES-LOSE POWER STEERING.. SHUT THE CAR OFF. RESTART SAME THING. SOMEONE SUGGESTED REPLACING [OWER STEERING MOTOR UNDER STEERING COLUMN

Did you check your power steering fluid? That would be the first thing I checked! I would also look for obvious signs of leaking around the power steeing pump.

Type of fluid in 2004 volks golf gti v-6 power steeing / clutch reservoir- not listed in manual

I would check with the dealer, at the parts counter

On that type of vehicle, I would just buy the correct fluid
from the dealer ,unless you can spec it to something
used in north america on other vehicles

My steering wheel got stiff

Check the fluid level in the Steeing pump resevoir, and also look for oil drip traces on the ground, underneath the normal parking area at home.

Steeing is very hard at slow speed and while stopped

It sounds like you are having a problem with your power steering system. Check that the power steering pump has fluid to the recommended level. Also check that the power steering belt has not broken.

1991 lexus ls400 power steeing slowly got hard to

As mentioned check ps fluid. If it wines when turning and still no power then the pump is internally bad.. If the fluid is dissapearing fast then its a hose or most likely a leaking rack& pinion assembly..

My 04 volvo xc90 leaking power steering fluid at night

I have the same problem with 05 XC90 2.5T.. It seems like there is a problem with the power steering pump. And the only way to fix it is to change the pump. Now i'm trying to use the lucas stop leaking thing as well and will see what happens.

Power steeing fluid leaks

try replacing the o ring or use double o rings between the reservoir and pump, pressure builds from use and the fluid blows out of this o ring even after the vehicle is off. When the dealer replaces the pump they re-use the reservoir and o ring so the problem does not get fixed. The fluid runs down the pump and the lines to the rack, instead of washing the engine and observing where the fluid is leaking from, they replace good parts until they find the problem. Sometimes one o ring isn't enough.
