SOURCE: Changed transmission and ever since then it keeps stalling once warmed up

More than likely something was disturbed accidentally,a connector to a sensor,a sensor itself, possibly even a vacuum line, although a vacuum leak will usually result in a high idle, but an engine that wants to stall,so visually check all these items. At this point,i would do the visual checks, and also scan the vehicle for any possible trouble codes,as a trouble code will point in the direction of the problem.Places like Auto Zone will pull the codes for free.

SOURCE: 1997 Chevy 1500 P/U 4x4 small V8. Transmission shifting issue.

you may be confusing the torque converter clutch engagement with o.d. this trans has a problem with the T.C.C. regulator valve wearing out the valve body bore. this will cause the converter clutch to engage only sometimes or not at all. this will set a P1870 code in the control module. when this code is stored in the controller, ( check engine light may or may not be on), it increases the pressure in the transmission causing the 1-2 shift to be harsh. ask a local tranny shop to scan the vehicle ( most will do this for free) if this is the problem they can either fix your valve body (sonnax parts) or replace it with an upgraded valve body. hope this helps

Why is my chevrolet venture suddenly increases rev and does not shift?

Low fluid is the main reason for this symptom. Check the fluid with the engine warm and running.

Driving up hill in my 1994 Oldsmobile 98, my transmission suddenly stopped moving forward. reverse in my car still works just fine, what should I check?

First check the selector rod or cable to be sure it selects the right gear.
Check fluid level as well. The planetery gears may be shot!

have a pressure test done on the transmission to determine if there is mechanical failure in side. Remove the pan and do a check of the band and clutch packs as something may have broken . The sudden changing of direction under rpm's will cause damage to the mechanicals in the box.

You could have a shop check pump pressure - usually the cause is a weak pump or problems with the valve body.
Chances are if you just sit in drive at idle, it will also move on its own in a couple of minutes once the fluid warms up.
I never recommend changing fluid after 100k.

94 mitsubishi diamante station wagon (possible transmission problems)

The best thing to do is check the transmission fluid, vehicle in park engine warm and at operating temperature, check the transmission fluid, at the transmission dipstick,if you are in the marked range the fluid is not the problem if the fluid is dark almost black(which should be very red) then the transmission is burnt, which a replaced transmission is the solution,

Car strugles to shift once its warm.

If the engine revs high and the vehicle barely seems to pull, then you are likely to need a transmission rebuild. Ensure that the trans is full of fluid. If the considerably low it could be the cause. If the engine lugs when it "struggles" to move then it could be an engine performance issue.

Why does it not kick into gear between 1 and 2 gear, is it Transmission Fluid? or the Engine? I read that you just need to warm up the engine because the Transmission Fluid Temp. Sensor doesn't read...

It is most likely the transmission and deals with fluid level. Make sure you are between the marks on the dip stick when the transmission is warm. To do this you should drive it around the block at least to get the fluid moving everywhere it is supposed to be. Then check the fluid level with the vehicle in park. It is not so much that you are warming the transmission as you are getting the fluid moving.

Vehicle suddenly doesn't move in reverse. Moves

Good chances are the transmission gave up on you. Check the fluid level, and if it's good, let a transmission repair shop take a look at it.

Transmission

With the vehicle on level ground and the engine on, check the transmission fluid level - you need to drive the vehicle a few minutes to warm up the fluid. If the fluid is low, add some fluid slowly and then recheck it. It's easy to get too much fluid in the transmission. Have you noticed any pink stains under the vehicle after moving it from a parking space? If the fluid level is okay, then a sensor could be to blame. If the fluid on the dipstick is dark and not bright pink, it probably needs to be changed. Check the service interval in the owner's manual for the mileage/age that the fluid needs to be changes.
