OBDII Codes 2006 Chevy 2500HD w/ 6.6L Duramax "Truck started losing power when warm, when cold for the first 10 miles or so the trunk runs great."


You need a dealer, there is a real problem going on here, way over the head of any home do it yourselfer. The main reason is the special tools required to interface with the control modules that are throwing these codes

the braking system is not installed a the factory just the wire from the plug to the fire wall you need to add the fuse and control box

80-100 torque and be sure to replace the cotter key/ hammer the crush slot.

2006 Chevy 2500hd. Fan speed control switch will not work at 5 setting. Will not work for a short period and then kick back on. would the entire module need to be replaced or is there a cheaper solution...


Can you say recall notice? Chevy knows about this problem and has extended the warranty through 2016 or 150,000 miles. Just had my 2006 Silverado fixed at dealership @ no cost to me. It takes the shop approximately 45 minutes to correct.

just make sure its good and tight,i have never had to use a torque spec for that.

2001 CHEVY SILVERADO 2500HD BATTERY LIGHT FLASHES INTERMITTENTLY. NO PROBLEM WITH BATTERY OR WITH ALTERNATOR, BOTH OF WHICH TEST OK. NO PROBLEM WITH STARTING OR RUNNING, EXCEPT FOR THE FLASHING BATTERY...


2001 chevy silverado 2500hd battery light flashes intermittently. no problem with battery or alterntor. both tested ok. no problems with starting or running. voltage gauge reads just above 14. no problems with anything except battery light flashes. what could be the problem?

Alternator needs to be replaced


There is a spring tensioner on it.Pull back to loosen belt.The same to refit belt
