Question about Cadillac CTS
The fuel evaporative system purge control valve (pull gas vapors from the vapor storage canister) will NEVER cause excessive fuel usage in this year of car. If you have a problem in the engine and it is using to much fuel the Check Engine light (CEL) or Service Engine Soon light would be on and a electronic engine control system fault code stored, do you have a CEL showing in the dash? Have you had the system scanned with a dealer system scanner to see what the O2 sensors are reading during engine operation? Average readings should be around .55 volts at cruise speeds.
