Question about 1994 Chevrolet Astro

1994 Chevy Astro Van- four wheel drive

1994 Chevy Astro has a good battery, is getting power, tested starter(new) and is good, no problem with alternator- is not starting.
Please inform me of what could be the problem. Maybe wiring issue - had hit a curb and received 2 flat tires/drove home 1/2 mile and since then car will not start but gets power.
Had the starter/alternator and battery tested- no problem with those parts.

Sounds like the auto shut down relay. Located somewhere in the front grille/bumper area. Relay triggers on impact to shut down all power in order to prevent fires etc. Great idea but can cause exactly the frustration you are having if you don't know it's there!!

2005 chevy astro van 4.3l V6... Alt not charging, changed battery, new alt... still no charge... check the 12 gauge fusible link wire @ starter... was good... what could it be?

Could be the circuit from the key that tells the alternator to energize.
You may have a 10amp fuse marked GEN that could be blown, and there could be a problem with the body or engine computer which controls the internal voltage regulator. You may need a shop manual to get the test procedures.

New Battery and Alternator, won't start

Have the starter pulled and tested for functionality. The contacts may be dirty, damaged, or loose. This can be checked outside of the car.

I have an 89 astro van, Would not start so I put a battery charger on it and It started. Took it to a auto parts store and had the battery checked out and the guy said it was bad,so I took it to walmart...

a few problems that it might be.
1. I am guessing you checked for 12 volts at the starter motor end of the thick red cable that runs from the positive terminal of your battery?
2. The solenoid on your starter motor is "engaged" by applying a smaller current of 12 volts from a starter relay which is activated by your ignition key circuit.
3. Is there a good connection between your batteries negative terminal and the car chassis?
4. I guess you did not reverse connect the battery terminals as there would have been some bad consequences already.

New battery, new alternator, new starter, still won't start, 1994 chevy cheyenne 5.57 v8 ck2500

Get a fuel pressure gauge and measure on the fuel supply line on the rear of the inlet manifold. In my experience you need close to 4Bar while cranking. Priming pressure should be about 4.4Bar. This test will eliminate a variety of possible problems. I need more history to be more specific.

Hi, I have a 1994 Chevy Cavalier with the 2.2L 4Cyl Engine. We bought it off a private owner and it was running good. We went to autozone to get a new fuel injector because one was leaking, we replaced...

The smaller wires that hook to the big post on the solenoid. These are fusable link wires. It sounds like one is burnt or not hooked up. These feed all the power to the car. Did you hook the grounds to the top of the starter bolt?

Engine won't start, just clicks then eventually starts. 1992 chevy astro

Have entire starting and charging systems inspected and tested. Many components can cause these symptoms, poor cables (corroded), poor connections to battery (corroded), weak battery (old), tired starter. Alternator will not charge the battery properly if connections or cables are in poor shape.
good luck
