When does this sound happen? Does it do it in 4wd or in 2wd? Does the sound change when turning?
If the t-case is visually not broken, it could be just a strecthed chain inside the t-case. A chain is about 280.00 dollars plus installation

Grinding sound when shift to drive, then loud knocking sound when starting to accelerate. There was no gear oil in rear differential. Could this also ruin the transfer case?

No. If there was no oil in rear diff the problem is probably in there. If the transfer case is bad it's not because the rear diff. It's not possible.

I have a 95 Grand Cherokee limted. I have a humming noise coming from the front end it gets louder as i accelerate, when I let off the gas the humming sound dies down. I was told it could possibly be my...

This year Jeep is famous for front and rear differential bearings going out, and it sounds like thats whats going on. If the transfer case were going out, you would hear all the grinding coming from the center of the car. If you are curious, remove the plate off the front diff. When the oil comes out,you will see lots of metal in it. Unless you rebuild differentials, you'll have to have it rebuilt.

if ur referring to a transfer box then r u saying transfer case the transfer case has nothing to do with the vehicle pulling in two wheel drive but if ur referring to transmission then it sounds like the clutches are slipping or the torque converter is bad

I have a 2004 Jeep Overland and it has few

Sounds like a heater core/thermostat problem or blend door problem. The grinding noise sounds like a transfer case problem. If your mechanic cant figure out the problem you need a new mechanic.

Squealing or clicking sound and then next day grinding sound louder when you take foot off accelerator clicking sounds from right side grinding underneath 2002 grand cherokee

Squealing usually indicates that the brakes are in need of replacement. There is a small piece of metal that as the brake pads wear comes in contact with the metal rotor. When the pads get close to being worn away the tab touches the rotor and it squeals. The tab can also click.
When the pads are worn away completely the metal backing comes in contact with the rotor and it grinds. Grinding is bad. It means the car's brakes are metal to metal. This will cause damage to the rotors resulting in an even more costly brake job.
You should have it taken care of ASAP.
I hope this helps.

Transfer case? Front diff? HELP!!

Sounds like a transfer case problem. But I can't verify that from here. Coupler is inside the unit on the output shaft and needs teardown to get to it.

Did you change the fluid first before you put it in? You might need to flush it out and put fresh fluid in it.
