Tell the Machine Shop to repair the Valve Guides and it will last for a very long time. Valve Guides are a common repair. The Valve Stem Seals are normally replaced during a Valve Job.
I am hoping they replaced the Valve Itself if the Seat was replaced. Valves are not expensive (less than $10 each), and does not make any sense to not do this...
What is their definition of Valve Play? .00002 or .428? There is a Huge Difference
When your Honda cuts off there is alot of reason it does that, one possiblity it doesnt see a crank signal and its breaking down,or the cam signal both of these are in the distributor, or the rotor can be slipping out of position,(distributor rotor). or the ignitor breaking down,to a ignition switch the electrical componenet breaking down,to even a plugged fuel filter causing the vehicle to starve for fuel.Just for maintance concern replace the fuel filter.
if it was me i would put some good STP gas treatment in you tank you may have a plug are a bad injector give these websites a try www.alldatadiy.com and www.autozone.com wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.
try changing the temp sensor... it might be behind your air hose... i had that same problem and i changed so much stuff and it ended up just being that sensor... it was the water temp sensor.
