Battery may have a dead cell which can show good voltage when tested,
but when under load such as starting will not work. try alternative battery.

Take it to auto parts store have them check your battery connections also have them do a test to see if the battery voltage is ok or being loaded down.

When driving my Why would my s10 just quit

sounds like a loose power connection or bad wiring in the engine compartment. Check battery cables and ground connections at both ends of wires and cables first. If the problem remains, test equipment and a wiring diagram would come in handy.

2002 Kia quit

I had a similar issue with my 05 Grand Cherokee. My issue was due to a loose battery terminal. I would start at the battery and follow your cables back making sure they are cklean and tight. If they are, check your fuses, relays and fused links to be sure they are good and working propperly. If that fails, pull your alternator and bring it to a parts store who has testing equipment (autozone usually has this setup) and verify that it is working ok. Hopefully one of these solutions works for you. Good luck!!!

I have a 1999 Mercury Sable and accidentally installed the battery backwards. Replaced blow fuses and the car ran fine. After sitting idle for 3 days, returned to find the new battery dead. A jump start...

Check and make sure your termimals to the battery are clean and tight. You can find out if the alternator is charging by simply starting the car and while it is running take the negitive cable off the battery. If the car quits its not charging (have the alternator check) if the car keeps running it is working properly. If it is charging and all your termimals are tight and clean you may have shorted out the battery and ruined it by hooking it up backwards. Good luck

My wife was driving our 2000 town and country 3.8 ltr home , and the dash cluster, and the info cluster quit working? the outside temp works, but no gas guage, mileage, engine temp etc...I reset the...

best guess is that you lost ground to the cluster, start at the battery and dissassemble the grounds and clean them, nest step is to locate the grounds under the dash, good luck

Lost all electrical car died wont start

Will it start when you give it a jump or install a good battery? If it does the problem is your alternator. What most likely happened is the alternator quit working while you were driving and the car was relying on the battery directly to keep it going in which the battery completely lost power and shut the car off.
