1989 ford escort alternator problem

Alternator only pushes 75 amps output stock. need a higher output alternator for a decent price. any cars match up with the same bolt up? trying to run a 52x4 amp pioneer stereo. no sub just trying to run the stereo. low power to it, keeps cutting out. 100 amps should do but dont know an alternator that would work for this car. the only ones i find are up to 80 amps or they are $250+ for a high output alternator

The IAC valve is usually the problem with the 1.9 Escorts ,causing a very poor engine idle at a stop. It is located on the side of the throttle body .

SOURCE: 2003 Ford Mustang GT Battery Light

Your alternator should power everything when engine is running. Battery is only for start up. Test voltage with a multimeter when engine is running , should be 14V or more . Any less indicates low alternator output.

Alternator is 110 amps or 130 amps

Higher amperage would cope with electrical demand easier so if they both fit and not any difference in price I would go for the higher one. The actual output voltage wise would be the same

Have a 1994 ford escort 1.4 cylinder manual trans....that was spuddering when i started it would give it some gas and it would start had to install a battery i put one that has 700 cranking amps. it ran...

Is the battery now flat again? Has the alternator drive belt broken? Has the alternator output been checked?

Note that if the new battery has been totally discharged by a lack of alternator charging then it's probably ruined and may need another replacement.

What is the stock Alternator AMP output for 2003

You have two options If the truck is stock then the 95 amp is fine but if your running aftermarket accessories then you would benifit from the 130 amp. All the alternator has to do is keep up with the load being applied.

I need to replace the alternator on my Mercedes Benz 190e 2.3 engine. Suppliers offer re-manufactured alternators from 55 to 70 amps and as the amperage goes up so does the price. If the 55 amp alternator...

it depends on what accessories you're running. If your vehicle has every electric option under the sun, you would want the higher output alternator. Same if you were running a high-output stereo or something like that. It all comes down to what you need.

Ford escort 1989 increases its speed without stepping on the gas

First guess is that a motor mount is broken and lifts one side of the motor just enough to pull on the throttle cable.
Second guess is that the cable return spring is broken or missing. It pulls the injector throttle body lever closed when the gas peddle is released.

Headlights flash with bass

The sound system is exceeding the capacity of the Alternator, it takes allot of power to run the subwoofers, they make higher output alternators for just this situation, u will need one with at least 130 Amps output.
