Question about Hyundai Motor 2004 Sonata
When I start my car in the morning, it makes a terrible screeching sound. I discovered that the noise only occurs if I have the air conditioner or the heater on. When I shut it off, the noise stops. Or, if I rev up the car a little bit, the noise will stop then.
Is there a belt in there somewhere that needs replaced?
It may just need to be adjusted (it sounds like it's too loose). If the belt isn't cracked or frayed, you should just have it tightened up a bit . If there are signs it is worn (cracked frayed) replace it.
