SOURCE: What size battery will I

Hi there. My name is Matt and I hope to be able to assist you with your inquirey today.

A factory reccomendation for cold cranking amps differs a little from one car to another due to different options, as far as extra electronics and such. Just say you had a base model caprice with a 305 or 350, the minimum CCA you would want in about 750, and about 900 or better regular cranking amps. I prefer a few more CCA's than some just simply, I might add some electronics later. So I got for a minimum 850 CCA. As far as oil goes. All oils are not created equally. Depending the mileage of the car, you might want to think about a high mileage oil. Castrol and Valvoline have great oils for high mileage vehicles. As far as oild specs, 10W30 is a good all weather oil, and stick with you AC Delco filter. It's Cheap and Reliable.

My gas Hand is stuck on full in my 94 chevy Caprice what do I need to do

It's possible that the sending unit in the tank went bad, or the gauge in your cluster stuck. You can begin by testing the sending unit and seeing if its sending a proper signal.
If it's fine, then I would look into having the cluster checked or replaced. This is all assuming the wiring harness hasn't been tampered with.
Goodluck and please rate

Is it common for the oil pump to quit in my 1990 chevy lumina euro?

No its not common. Why do you think it quit? Remove the oil pressure sending unit and install a hand held mechanical gauge and check for pressure. If the pressure is good you have a bad sending unit.

Location of oil sending unit on 1991 chevy 454

Hello Dirts_s_22p
The sending unit is at the bottom of the engine just behind the harmonic balancer on the left side. It is about 3 inches long and points towards the left wheel.

Chevy caprice doesn't start. Turns over but, no start.

Check spark. Is this one of those with the HEI coil on top of distributor? Check the ignition module in the distributor under the cap and rotor.

No power tp the fuel pump, injectors not pulsing, no fuel.

Check out your oil sending unit, fuel pump and relay, check for power (might be a fuse), the ignition control module (which if you remove it, can be tested for free at AUTO-ZONE), any related wiring, pick-up coil (inside the distributor), and possibly the ignition switch. If I can be any more help just as away.
