Oil leak changed oil pan gasket (felpro) crank shift gasket but it's still leaking

You might have tightened the bolts to the oilpan too tight, breaking the gasket by squeezing it apart... the correct way to do this is to tighten the bolts only untill you can see the gasket squish out a little... as soon as it squishes out----stop.. that would be tight enough... anything beyond this would be overtightening... the bolts do not go in so tight that they quit turning...snug is the best way...hope this helps...

Directions for changing the oil pump

THE OIL PUMP IS LOCATED INSIDE THE OILPAN ON THE BOTTOM OF THE ENGINE! YOU'LL HAVE TO DRAIN THE OIL, AND REMOVE THE OILPAN! ON SOME VEHICLES, YOU HAVE TO UNBOLT THE ENGINE MOUNTS, AND RAISE THE ENGINE ENOUGH TO REMOVE THE OIL PAN, SO YOU CAN GET INSIDE

Oil drain plug is stripped. Bought car used and it already has oversized plug. I plan on just changing the oilpan. How big of a pain is it to get the gasket to seal without leaking?

It's very easy. Just make sure that the surface is extremely clean and dry before applying the gasket material. It's a lot harder to get off than on. Also be sure that pressure is applied and left on until the gasketing material has cured.
