My 2003 s10 blows heat, but when you change from floor to defrost or vent, the air comes out half way. If I push on the lever of th ediaphram under the dash, the heat comes out where its suppose to and...

There should be multiple selections for defrost, some have the ability to split the air to the top and the bottom, make sure you are using the right selection. If you are already using the top air only selection, one of the wires connected to the rod from the back of the controller knob may have come off. Any a/c shop should be able to help you with this. Heat won't blow on floor when in floor position on 2002 chevy s10

Your dial in your truck works off of a small vacuum line switching the gate for flow. I had the same problem in my s10 truck and it seemed like after a minute or so i would finally work. Come to find out there was a small rip in the hose next to the dial causing a leak.
