1996 Saturn sl2 coolant problem I can't figure out how I'm losing coolant no leak engine runs hot but when I shut car off and let cool coolant gone just about thermostat replaced

Blown head gasket and/or cracked head, cracked or leaking intake manifold. Since the car has run hot, the headgasket is probably damaged either way. On a 4 cylinder engine you are looking at $900 to 1200 range...v6 add another $3 to 400. Possibly more depending on what caused the failure in the first place.

Car ran hot then died, now wont start. it turns over

pull the spark plugs and check for coolant, check compression, if it overheated you could have blown a headgasket or cracked the head

2000 kia sephia fuel pump/overheating/not turning over

sorry to tell you but you have a blown headgasket or cracked cylinder head. that is why the coolant blows out of the radiator and the engine won't start due to engine compression getting into the cooling system.

White exhaust rich with gas 5.4 lt triton

I would suspect that there is a crack in the head allowing the coolant to mix into the cylinder, causing white smoke. The coolant is running low after a drive.I also would suspect some air is leaking into the cylinders. It may turn into a headgasket and head pressure test.also a block pressure test. But first do a compression test. And check if there are bubbles coming out of your radiator at the cap. These are signs that show a fault in the leak in the compression and engine.

My 1996 VWGOLF wouldnt start back after the check engine light was on for about 60 miles, once I cut it off it would not turn over. Original diagnostic was the cam shaft position sensor in the distributor...

no compression sounds like the cam belt to me but then iam not a expert on every car thats made ,but the the teeth could have split on the instep on the cam belt so its lost a couple of teeth and its now out of time and possible the valves are crunched

My 1996 toyota tacoma still over heats even after I changed the thermostat

Unfortunately, that first solution is spam.Check your coolant for any signs of oil or the odor of exhaust fumes. Check your oil (dipstick) for any signs of water contamination which can make the oil look cloudy, milky or like Jergens lotion if severe enough. You could have blown headgasket that has failed between a cylinder and a coolant path. This will cause hot gases to be directly leaked into the coolant path and cause overheating regardless of load conditions or ambient temperature.
A properly done compression check (checking for excessive bleed-down of pressure) will confirm this.

1999 Pontiac sunfire sedan 4 cylinder overheated and now wont start but will turn over even if the headgasket is blown shouldn't it still start

no-the compression is now bad and u dont want it to start cause the coolant will mix with the oil and destroy your engine berings--get new gaskets soon

My 2.5 outback year 2000, it starts and drives great but after 1 hour driving the car tep goes high.there are no leaks and no smoke from exhaust.

sounds like you have a headgasket problem , have your mechanic do a compression check to see..
coolant in oil, oil in coolant, smell of coolant from exhaust, all signs of a headgasket problem..

1996 vw vr6 engine coolant leak in front of engine

A blown head gasket doesn't necessarily mean there is water in the oil. Check for bubbles coming into the coolant tank. Take car for a short drive to build up coolant pressure and you should be able to see where it is leaking from a bit easier. It is possibly coming from a heater pipe or core plug.
