I have a 2008 Scion xB, great car. I foolishly didn't replace a broken tail light housing some years ago but taped it back together with see thru red tape, adding more tape occasionally-bad idea. Water corroded the socket contacts and also destroyed the very hot brake light bulb. It was easy to clean the corrosion with a small screwdriver and file and put in a new bulb. But, I didn't know the center tail light connector is not to a bulb, it is the three 12 volt feeds plus a ground for the brakes, tail lights, and signals/flashers. With the center connector unplugged, the two sockets are totally isolated from voltage and ground and none of the bulbs worked.I wasted a little time with my meter trying to figure out why there was no hot or ground on that side. Once I reconnected the center plug, everything worked perfectly. Hope this helps someone else out there!

did you change any relays  swap some relays to see if you can get the tail lights working but something else will fail    do you mean marker lights  make sure you used the correct bulb type  many are dual filament bulbs and will not work right if you used single filament bulbs

It sounds as if you have a bad earth to either one or both of your rear light clusters. If it only happens when you indicate in one direction then that is the offending side.

No tai lights or dash lights in 2004 Scion xB fuses good no power at rear plugs. Brake and blinkers do work. So frustrated.

Did you look at a wiring diagram to see what all is involved in those circuit's ? The fuse is GOOD ? 10 amp tail lamp fuse is good , but is there Battery + voltage there ? With a volt meter or test light check for B+ voltage on both sides of the fuse . Both the dash and tail lights get B+ voltage from the head lamp switch . You can find a wiring diagram here How to Use Multimeter to Troubleshoot Common Problems

Left side blinkers wont work 2006 scion tc

There are no fuses in that circuit, so the clicks in the dash indicate that the flasher relay is working. The turn signal switch may be defective, especially if the right side is OK. The replacement flasher relay could be defective

I have an 09 scion xb. When I turn my headlights on the dash lights go off and I can only see my blinker lights. When I turn the headlights off the dash foes back on

Tlhat circuit is directly hooked to your tail lights.. its sort of a warning for you to realize your tail lights are out. Not your brake lights but your tail lights... It could be the bulbs out or the switch or a wire shorted out.

No tail lights

You should have a fuse panel under you dash inside. This is where the fuses are located for lights. Don't know the exact location, but you can pull each fuse to see if it is bad. This won't hurt anything. It just keeps you from hunting down a diagram of where the fuse is located.

I just purchased my 2005 scion xb and the tail lights and speedometer don't light. no manual so i can't tell where the fuses are

All the fuses are in a panel on the far left lower side of the dash. There is a small handle, pull that panel out and the fuse box is right behind it.

Need to replace right rear brake light bulb. can't get into the area.

Is it the rear tail light itself, or the side marker? I may have the same issue if its the side marker. However, the tail light itself is simple, remove the panel in the trunk side, and there are three seperate light fixtures, the bottom being the main tail light, the middle is the signal indicator and the top is the upper brake light.
