Question about 2005 Buick Rainier
There.s a residual whinning noise after warm-up and driven around. Perhaps the power steering fluid thickens when cold?
I would check the idler pulleys on the belt first. Then maybe the alternator. If your battery is getting a little weak it could be working the alternator hard when you first start it up. I don't know how loud it is though. The alternator wouldn't be real noticeable but some people would hear it.
