Do you have a Check engine light on? If so have it tested for fault codes, any Autozone, Aamco transmission or Oriley auto parts does the test for free as well as others, call them for deatials.

FORD FOCUS IS MAKING A RUMBLING SOUND WHEN DRIVING ONLY,

Sounds like either a bad tire or wheel bearing. Check you tires for rough spots or high/low spots and replace if belts are broken. This is a raised area on the tire that will run diagonally across your tire. If tires look OK try moving the front tonthe back and see if the noise moves. To check for a front wheel bearing drive about 50 kms per hour and slowly turn the wheels left and right. If the noise gets worse or louder you need a bearing. For the back younhave to raise the rear and pin the wheels by hand and listen for a roar.

My car goes off everytime I stop in traffic or when I drive in idling.

If you turn key off and it continues to run and run rough, this is the engine running backwards. It's called run on and you should check your timing. Best to check timing also when the engine is all warmed up also.

Engine Misfiring. Rough Idling. Losing power going up hills. Engine light flickered one day. I brought it to dealer. They said cyl 5 had a fouled spark plug. They replaced it, retuned and cleared code....

It sounds like it could be a bad coil pack that is used for number 5 cylinder. It could also be a bad spark plug wire. Does the weather seem to make a difference? Try this quick check once night time comes around. Open the hood and start the engine. Fill a bug sprayer with salt water and spray the plug wire while the engine is running. If the wire is bad, you might notice an electrical arc from the wire to the engine block. The engine will probably start running rough. If this occurs, then the wire should be replaced. If it doesn't, then the coil pack can be tested with an ohm meter. I hope this information has been helpful to you. Good luck with your problem and thank you for using Fixya.com.

In the last month car has had three occurances where it runs rough and rumbles. When it happens the car smells like maybe something burning or rotten egg. The temp gauge has been fluctuating at 150,...

Is it a sweet smell or a burnt oil smell? If you are having fluctuation water temps then I would look into the cooling system. That would not explain running rough though. Check your plugs, wires coil pack and fuel pressure.

Rumble in left front wheel on the left front and maybe the right front wheel ther is a rough sound like a dry bearing sound

chances are you are right. if you have just purchased this car, it is possible it was abused if not i would say it is high mileage and you need a professional to inspect it right away before something happens and somebody gets hurt. it also sucks to get towed. these are not hard bearings to replace but you do need the right equipment. you will be alot happier.
