SOURCE: my radio on my 2003

ok- i just fixed my problem. took about 5 mins and zero dollars. underneath the drivers seat is the amplifier. mine was fine, just unplugged. so i plugged it in- all is ok/.

i thought of this after I read a few of the posts, and remembered that it stopped working suddenly ne day when i went over a huge bump in the road. my initial thought was that i jarred something loose on the radio itself, but EVERYTHING else worked except the sound, and the display for the radio.

give it a try. Saab wanted $159 just to LOOK at the car, and a car radio guy said they needed to send out the whole console (radio, onstar, cd player)

save a few bucks- small hands preferred, as the amp is placed in an awkward position under the seat. also, there is a spot to secure it to the frame (floor) of the car- a simple screw... my screw was conveniently missing... hmmmm..

good luck

SOURCE: How to sync phone with Saab 2003 / 9-3, with bluetooth device?

Sorry, the original Swedish version of the 9-3 had the bluetooth capability but GM removed it for cost reasons. GM has ruined Saab in many ways. There is no way to sync your phone with your 9-3.

SOURCE: my 2003 saab 9-3 got left out in the rain and wont start

you may have ruined your alarm computer wich is under seat. it can be replaced with a good used unit but a shop with Tech2 must program it. If no communication with computer m ore than likely bad.

My 2003 Saab 9-5 Aero 4-cyl Turbo Won't start. However, I have power in car, lights windows and radio works. But it won't turn-over. It could be Starter or Starter Relay. I can't find out

Ok, those systems might still work because the not require as much energy as the starter. Check the Battery Voltage with a good Voltmeter. If below 12, there might be your problem!

Can I replace the head unit in a 2004 saab 9-3 ? I've heard you can't because to car won't accept any other radios in it . I'm looking to replace it with a touch screen head unit .

Thanks for the help your saying that if I for example buy a stereo that is the right size then it should have no problem hooking into the car with out any fancy wire work ....I'm for iliac with normal installation ( done it before ) but I'm just a little intimidated by some of the sites saying that you can't install a after market radio into a saab because it won't exempt it and all that stuff . But any right size stereo should work your telling me ?

I need to fix the starter on my saab 95

If your question is cut & dry

Starters are not fixed, as they were prior
to 1980, they are exchanged at the auto parts
store for a rebuilt one

You could have yours tested there, but to me that
is a waste of time, when a starter has been on the motor
ten years & is a dirty mess inside, just get a new one.

If your question is that the car won't start, well then,
you need a repair shop to diagnose or we need a lot
of what has been done so far & what the issue is

Loud knocking

Sort of sounds like the timing belt broke-- if you have one

The valves may have hit the pistons & that is why it won't turn over

I don't know any of that is true & won't wish it on anyone, but
it is a place to start

Saab radio wont turn on wont even display on dash why is this ???

If you enter the wrong code x (4?) number of times the radio locks itself out. After one hour you can try again, whether the car has been on or not. After the one hour interval you get ONE chance to do it right or it locks up again for one more hour.
The manual specifically tells you how to input the code and you need to follow those directions to the letter. I thought I had a post here that explained it in great detail but I've searched and searched and cannot find it.
