If the oil is a creamy paste...white..ish... you either have a cracked head or a blown head gasket.. had the same problem in my sisters ea falcon...allthough that still turned over..it overheated like a *****

The oil sounds like its too thick to circulate properly and may be you have siezed up the engine. If you take the spark plugs out it may be able to be turned over(cranked)If it still doesnt move pour a little diesel into each cylinder and leave to soak over night Try to turn over next day.Regardless, changing the oil and filter would be a good start

Could be. the oils should not be like a thick paste. what is the color?

if it is black, then it is ok but if it is grayish in color, then it is already mixed with water.
that is a major problem. water and oil should not mix.

could be a broken head gasket.

tnx 4 using fixya,

Mazda 323 wont start until cold

If this vehicle has a distributor, try replacing the pickup coil. This should be located under your distributor cap and is responsible for spark. When your engine compartment gets warm from normal conditions, this plastic piece of **** shrinks and the metal tab attached to it doesn't make a good enough connection to conduct the electric spark to your plugs. Hope this helps!

My 89 mazda 323 turns over but wont start

Last week my 323 89' Mazda stop working as I was driving it in middle of the street, I pushed to the side. it would not start, the starter sounded ok, but the car just didnt start, I checked the fuses, gas pump, and all seemed to be ok, finally with the help of a friend we found out that the ignition rotor at the distributor wasnt working we then replace it with a new one from autozone , is about 5 dollars, now it works just fine, big problem easy solution.
