Why does my 2000 hyundai sonata flood sometimes restarting engine when warm

there are several things that could cause that and is hard to say with little info provided but here are a few.. IAC, idle air control, solenoid is sticking, MAF, mass air flow sensor is bad... a good scan tool will tell you. throttle body needs cleaned or as simple as a clogged air fillter

I can't find the location of the crankshaft postion sensor in my 2000 Hyundai sonata

My online Sonata manual shows these possibilities, but does not identify which applies specifically to 2000 Sonata.
Also, when you talk to the dealership parts counter, you'll need to know whether your 2000 Sonata is (a) 4-cylinder 2.4L MFI DOHC engine, or (b) 6-cylinder 2.5L MFI DOHC engine.
Its easy to tell - just count your spark plug wires.

'03 Hyundai Sonata keeps stalling and now the Check Engine light has come on. What could be the possible problems?

Hi
When your check engine light comes on you have a stored code that will tell the testing technician what the problem you may have.

I would think that with out using the diagnostic tool is you have a problem with your IAC idle control valve ,
This can be repaired just by cleaning out your throttle body and IAC .

THE IAC VALVE (IDLE AIR CONTROL) MAYBE DIRTY OR STICKING,TRY CLEANING THE THROTTLE BODY WHERE IAC VALVE IS. IF THAT DOES NOT WORK REPLACE IAC VALVE.

Engine stalls

I would start by checking your IAC (idle air control) valve. It is usually located within or near the throttle body. The inpection procedure varies across vehicle makes and years, I would consult a Chilton's (or similar) repair manual for the exact procedure. If such a book is unavailable, you can remove the IAC and check for excess buildup of carbon or other debris. Let me know what you find!
