Electric window/removing the inside door panel. how is this done?

I'm having the same issue, however the only screws that I can find are 2 under a small panel near the door handle... I have tried to pry the panel off but there seems to be green plastic clips holding it in place and I don't want to risk breaking anything.. any suggestions?

Open the door. look for securing screws that holds the door panel. usually in the handle bar, in the door opener and the clips at the bottom part of the panel. then the window riser if you have one, needs to come out first too. some scews are covered so look closely.

How to repair window in A 2000 OLDSMOBILE ALERO . THE WINDOWS WAS FORCED DOWN AND IT CAME OFF .

Remove the door panel, locating all possible screws and some times hidden ones, underneath handles (covers of the screws) etc etc. Once you are completely sure all the screws are out, remove the door panel (there's a tool for this so you don't ruin the plastic ribbed nipples that go into holes in your door frame. Once you do that, you should be able to see what's going on and get it back on the track.

Good luck

How do you remove the interior door panel of a 4 door 2004 oldsmobile alero?

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge.

Right rear window is off the tracks. How do I remove the panel?

if the window is off track the regulator is probably bad. to remove the door panel should be a couple of screws by the inside pull handle and possibly one by the door handle itself also check the bottom of the door for any then just pull it off and lift up to clear latches and remove plastic film to get to inside of the door

Frozen power window

I just fixed a frozen up one on a 2002 Alero, I removed the door panel, unbolted the motor and it had a lot of pressure on it. When re-installed with no preload, the window worked fine. I lubed the tracks with silicone spray just to be safe.

I've seen this many times over the years on GM windows and still can't explain why it happens. Perhaps holding the switch in the up position too long/?
