It's a bottom engine ground strap, I tried everything before I sent it to the Dealership.  but if your having the shifting problems as well then I would def. just tell them to see if your engine ground on the BOTTOM not the one that attaches to the firewall and the headers on top of the engine.  I think the engine ground is near the plug wires I'm not sure about that.

This could be several different issues:

Dash guages are not working....getting code p1698 and p1695 could it be a bad ground?

Code p1698 town & country 96 fail the emission test

p1698 code=No CCD message from TCM or No Transmission Bus Messages
It means the person's computer could not connect with's possible it was his problem if your not having any issues

you need to go over your entire wiring harness, under the hood and inside the dash. Start with the ground wire on the battery and work your way inside. It sounds like there is a loose ground wire somewhere

How to fix code p1698

off the top of my head I am not sure w\hat exactly that code is although I do now it sound familiar. Most code tat are p one codes are usually more of an electrical problem or even a sensor. For that code all I can say right now is possibly a speed sensor issue or wiring
