Question about 2002 Ford Explorer

Truck died I have a 2002 explorer XLT ,today while pulling out of the driveway it just died,I put it back in park and turned the key and nothing no cranking no sound or action at all ,I tried to put it in netruel but nothing when turning the key,its just dead,but I have battery power to everything like normal but it just wont start, I also notices the compass and odmometer digitel readings are not working now, all the time when you turn the key on you get your milage readings on the odrometer but its just showing blank (------).Could it be the secucity system a fusable link or just a fuse thats bad?

I found the problem it was a 15 amp fuse under the hood in the fuse box cluster a row of 5 15 amp fuses one had blown out.

Try to see if your e-brakes are locked if it is it might be the problem.if not answer call the compony

In park but still rolls

disconnect the shift cable and move shifter to park pull cable hard andreattach also check the switch behind the brake pedal

Key is stuck in ignition

For some reason my 2002 does the same thing. Do you by chance park on an inclined driveway, because we do and setting it in Park with that extra tension may be causing this. If you do park on an incline, as we do, pull in and when you put on the brake keep it down while you set the parking break, so no tension is on the transmission, then move the lever to park. Hope this helps!

Key will not work in ignition. Nothing else works

Its a simple need to have your lock cylnder in the steering column replaced.

2002 Pontiac Grand prix wont start; unable to remove key

On many cars, if the battery is dead, it locks the key in the ignition. Put a battery charger on the car or replace the battery and give it a shot.
