Question about 1997 Mazda Millenia

Door won't lock and alarm keeps sounding

My son has a 1997 Mazda Millenia and when you take the key out of the ignition, then open the door on the drivers side, the sound keeps going as if you left your lights on or didn't take the key out, whatever. I have checked everything, the trunk door is locked the windows all closed tight, the interior lights are off, not sure what it could be, I do know the anti theft light usually goes on after locking the doors and it is not lighting up. Also when i try to lock the doors with the auto locks on the door, it pops right back to unlock, Anyone have any idea what could be wrong?? Could it be a fuse or something? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks, a concerned Mom

It's always a good Idea to check fuses first, as that is the easiest thing to fix.  I would suspect if its not a fuse it may be the door open sensor, if you open the door there should be a device in the door frame of the car where the door connects to the car door hinges.  If you push that sensor in with your finger it should turn off the interior lights.  It may be wiring to that sensor, or the sensor itself, also the sensor may have worn out to the point where it does not push in enough to activate the switch anymore.  good luck.

Take some "electoclean" spray and hose down the key slot ( 4 bursts). Then spray the key and insert to work it around. My car did the same thing and it clears the beeping noise and allows the security system to engage.

Is there a button to push to open the gas handle to put gas in the car for a 1998 Mazda Millenia?

I have never sat in or viewed a Millenia interior but i would start by looking on the lower drivers side door jam(interior) for a button or small lever to pull. Also inspect the drivers door panel for a button to press. Check the area around the hood latch for a lever to pull. Hope this is helpful.

Alarm won't turn off

the valet key doesnt have a transponder chip in it, so it will allow physical turning of keyways and operations, but will not disable the alarm and often wont disable the immobilizer.

sorry to say i think you will need to get an autolocksmith , or main dealer to get you a functioning key with transponder chip mapped to your cars rfid system that will allow alarm to be enabled /disabled

Unable to open driver's door with key...cannot insert key and when door is opened, all doors make a loud buzzing sound (must manually open rear doors.)

That is the door actuator. It costs including labor @ $300 per front door, $500 per back door. I just replaced 2 of them and have 1 more to replace.

Unable to open drivers door with the key and when door is opened, all doors make a loud buzzing sound.

The description isn't clear but I will take a stab at it. It sounds like there are two things going on. First the key won't work, this could be caused by the key being worn out, or the door key cylinder or door latch is broken. Second, When the door is opened and you then start to hear that buzzing sound. You are hearing the (door open) chime.
