Question about 1986 Cadillac Seville
There should be a diagram under the hood or in your owners manual. if not its always a good idea to have a repair manual and it would include that information. haynes or chilton would be the best and they are usually pretty cheap (10-20 bucks)

the pullys with the groves need the ribbed side of the belt. and the pullys with the flat serfice need the back side of the belt. if u try it a few difrent ways u should be able to put it on in a few minuts
