How do you reset passlock?

Turn the key to run position (engine not running) theft light will flash a few times and stay on. Leave for approximately 10 minutes (may take up to 20 min.) And the theft light will turn off. Repeat these steps 3 times. After the third turn the key off and attempt to start.

Safe Mode stays on

Lets get things straight first, When you safe mode do you mean it's in Limp home mode? When you say the light stays on and does not flicker are you referring to the engine ECU light. If the ECU light is on then there must be a fault code in the systems 100% has to be. Please be more specific.

Engine light always on putting out P2185 just changed complete missions wiring harness after Mazda of Mesquite dealership said too.

When you first get a dash light you check for codes
that day or the next & diagnose & resolve things, not
continue to use the car
Google ----OBD P2185 all you need is there
Stay away from dealers unless you have money
to throw away & expect poor results
Local shop & spend time there so they know what
you want taken care of

My abs light stays on and my airbag light also stays on, I took it to the local ford dealership and they found nothing wrong. Is there a reset switch to rest it

Nothing found? That can't be right.you can buy a OBDII tester for under $20. With that you can read and reset the codes. The dealer can also do this for you. if there is a code and it reoccurs then there is a problem somewhere. I would then take it to a different dealer. Autozone also would do a OBDII test for you and reset the codes. if after 3 times the dealer tells you "nothing found", you need to look at a lemon law and keep documentation of "Nothing found". This could be a serious safety issue.
if this is helpful, please give a thumbs up so it can help others too.

2004 YUKON XL DENALI, new throttle messed up delayed shift points

I recently had a low engine power on my 2003 Denali. The check engine light came on and I couldn't go above 40 mph. I took it in the next morning but by this time the check engine light had gone off. The mechanic had just recently seen the same problem in another Denali in which they changed the battery and had no problems since. I also decided to have them change out my battery and I have not had the problem since either. I would stay away from the dealership if I were you, and always get a second opinion. Most smaller shops wont charge for a diagnostic where the dealership will charge at least 80 just to tell you what might be wrong and that will only work if you have a warning light on at the time.

Check engine light stays on.

You've made the correct decision. Let the dealership diagnose the issue. They'll tell you EXACTLY what the problem is and what's needed to fix it (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.).

My check engine light came on

Did the Check Engine light ever come ON? If so, when the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. If there ISN'T any code found, Take/tow the vehicle into a Hyundai Service Center (dealership), pay the diagnostic fee. They will tell you EXACTLY what the problem is and what's needed to fix it (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.).

Engine check light on

My '06 Corolla's CHECK ENGINE light came on the other day and then went out after about a half hour. It was back on this morning and stayed on, and I noticed that the automatic transmission was shifting a bit more roughly than it ever had before. Took the car to a Toyota dealership immediately. The guy told me that Toyota has had an ongoing problem with the CHECK ENGINE light coming on due to a faulty CPU (car's computer "brain"). This has been affecting models from '05, '06, and '07 according to him. He said Toyota had extended the warranty for this particular part (i.e. the CPU) due to it being faulty. The warranty expires once you reach 80,000 miles, and my car has 87,000 miles on it (yes, I do drive that much for my job!). But the guy at the dealership was kind enough to put in a new CPU for free because I have been a good, loyal customer there. The CHECK ENGINE light is now off and it should stay that way.

Car losing power and turning off

if your car is 2003+ try turning the key to run (but not crank) then to acc. 3 times and the engine codes will show up on the odometer, then you can look up what those codes are to help diagnose some of the problems.
