Look for catalic converter near exhaust manifold ,,,, sensor one is before cat 2 is after it ... like a spark plug with wires

It is the Oxygen sensor on the passenger side of your engine. Sensor # 2 is the one behind the catalytic converter. Sensor #1 is in front of the catalytic converter.

find #1 cylinder that side is bank 1, bank 2 is opposite. sensor 1 is closest to manifold.

That sensor bank 2 is the 02 sensor that monitor thhe catalytic convertor more than likey when you get a code heater circuit its a failed 02 sensor itself so a replacement is to replace the 02 sensor on the second bankcansmo_155.gifcansmo_156.gif

I took my Toyota to autozone because my check

oxygen sensor bank 2 sensor 1
do you have a 6 cylinders engine?
this sensor is on the rear bank ( next to the fire wall ) before the cat

no you need an a/f sensor if the code is for a bank one it is located on the exhaust manifold on the back of the engine compartment vise versa if it is for bank 2

2002 Highlander PO136 Error Code and Rough Idle

The po136 code is a bad 02 sensor, on cylinder bank #1
sensor #2, which is the downstream one. needs new one.
