SOURCE: need a wiring diagram for a chevy s10. brake

your power starts at the brake light fuse, check with a test light, then proceed to stop light switch on brake pedal under dash, one wire will be hot when when you check it with your test light, the other won't be until you press down the brake pedal then the power flows through to the second wire,if no power to second wire replace switch,if you have power remove tail light bulbs and check for power in side socket.

It would be very hard to give instructions on how to do this over the Internet. If your not good with auto electrical stuff then I suggest going to a auto electrician, any auto elec should have no problem with this. Or get the wiring diagram fir your old truck and the 79 and mix and match to make it work.

Need spark plug wiring diagram for 1965 ford

Try this. If the distributor is in the right way, the clips that hold the cap on should be just a hair off of 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock. #1 is positioned at 1 o'clock, which is at the firewall side of the distributor. The firing order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8and is counterclockwise from #1. The passenger's side is cylinders 1-2-3-4, from the front of the car. The driver's side is 5-6-7-8 from the front. Hope this will help.

1965 ford mustang...rear turn signals, rear emerg flashers & brake lights not working.

Are the rear bulbs OK?
Is the ground good at the rear?are the sockets good?
Are there tail lights and a license plate light?then the ground is OK.
All the things that you say do not work go through the signal light switch....it may need replacing.
First make sure the bulbs and fuses are OK and power is getting to the signal light switch and to the brake light switch.
Nice car!

it might be a problem with the electrical circuit. first of all check your light bulb, replace it if fused. else go for the spring check attached with the brake pedal n atlast the wire connection check. Hope it works..:))

Dash lights, tail lights, brake lights, not working 1965 mustang

Probably either a bad ground (broken wire, rust) or a bad headlight switch. The brake light circuit goes from the stop switch (Located up above the brake pedal) through the headlight switch, through the light bulbs to ground. The tail light circuit goes through the headlight switch, through the bulbs and to ground. The only things that are in common are the headlight switch (Is this the switch you replaced?) and ground.
Not much, but hope this helps.
Have a super day!
