Look in your manual and see how to reprogram the tire pressure sensors. At least I would start with that.

NOTE: The tire pressure sensor training prcedure must be done in an area without radio frequency (RF) noise. RF noise is generated by electrical motor and appliance operation, cell phones, and remote transmitters.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position
2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position three times, ending in the RUN position. Do not wait more than two minutes between each key cycle.
3. Press and release the brake pedal
4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

Sequence:
1- Left Front Tire
2- Right Front Tire
3- Right Rear Tire
4- Left Rear Tire


5. Turn the ignition switch from the OFF position to the RUN position three times, ending in the RUN position. Do not wait for more than two minutes between each key cycle.
6. The horn will sound once and the TPMS indicator will flash if train mode has been entered successfully. If equipped, the message center displays "TRAIN LEFT FRONT TIRE." Place the magnet on the valve stem of the LF tire pressure sensor. The horn will sound briefly to indicate that the tire pressure sensor has been recognized by the TPMS module.
7.Within two minutes after the horn sounds, place the magnet on the valve stem of the RF tire pressure sensor. NOTE: If the TPMS module does not recognize any one of the four tire pressure sensors during the tire training procedure, the horn will sound twice and the message center (if equipped) will display "TIRE TRAINING MODE INCOMPLETE." If this occurs, the entire procedure must be repeated from Step 1.
8. Repeat Step 7 for the RR and LR tires. When the tire training procedure is complete, the horn will sound once and the message center (if equipped) will display TIRE TRAINING MODE COMPLETE.

This should help. For now, probably all Fords are like this. And I do not believe that Ford puts sensors in their spares (some GMs do).

SOURCE: getting a tire pressure sensor

One of your tire pressure sensors is probably no good. There is one in each tire. There are 2 types, one is in the middle of the rim attached to a strap and the other kind is attached to the valve stem. Take it to your local dealer, they can check to see which one is not working and replace it. Our shop charges 0.4 hours labor plus cost of the part, just for a rough idea other places are probably different.

That is normal when replacing one of the sensors. The whole set will have to be re-initialized and the dealership should do it for free.

The "tire pressure sensor fault" message is an indication that there is a problem with the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). A tire pressure monitoring system is required for all motor vehicles manufactured after 2007. The pressurized air inside the tire is monitored by the TPMS. The TPMS consists of tire pressure sensors which are placed inside each wheel. These sensors provide the driver with information regarding the actual tire pressure of each tire in real time.
All car tires are tubeless, unlike bike tires that have an inner tube that when filled with air inflates the rubber tire. Tubeless car tires have an inner core that is filled with pressurized air. The tire should be filled based on the manufacturer's specified PSI. This can usually be found on a sticker on the driver's side door or trunk. If the tire is overinflated or underinflated, this could cause damage to the tire and/or hazardous driving conditions.
Problems that are possible when a tire is overinflated:
  • Shorter lifespan of the tire
  • Broken tire belt
  • Uneven wear on the tread
  • Bad traction-specifically in the rain and snow
  • Difficult to steer and/or maneuver (it may feel as if you are driving on ice)
  • Decreased friction
  • Driver may experience a harsh ride
  • Could cause damage to the suspension
  • Tire may blowout/explode
Problems that are possible when a tire is underinflated:
  • Shorter lifespan of the tire
  • Make cause the tread to separate
  • Premature wear on the tread
  • Decreased fuel economy
  • Difficult to steer and/or maneuver (it may feel harder to turn with precision)
  • Increased friction
  • Tire may blowout/explode

The sensor in the tires takes a battery and the battery might be bad or the tires were filled with air that has too much water vapor in it and the sensor is affected by the water.

How do I reset the low tire pressure sensor on my 2011 Tahoe? I added air to the low tire, but it has not gone off.


recheck air level in all tires --if pressure good then tpi failure --when pressure is correct tri resets automatically

Brake fault and tyre pressure fault comes on dashboard and beeps intermittently very annoying as no problems with either


The car management system is reading it as a fault. Could be faulty sensors giving incorrect readings. Have it scanned and see what fault codes come up. Sometimes resetting the faults fixes it, but usually if nothing mechanically wrong then the sensor wiring may be faulty (water ingress, bad soldered joint or connection etc.)

Reset tire pressure warning light on


The thing is you can take of the sensor off they have a sensor on all the tires even the spare and If you won to take it off you look at the tire and behind the tire is a box and when you open that box there is a fuse inside of it you take the fuse out and that will make the sensor quit but you would need to do it for all the tires even the spare

That signal is from your tire monitoring sensors, telling you that there is air pressure difference between tires. The tire pressure should be same in all tires.

Tire pressure sensor fault goes on while driving


Tire pressure always changes...
when you drive your vehicle for a long period of time the tires' temperature goes up along with the
pressure in your tires, the molecules in the air inside your tires get excited (hot)
when your vehicle is immobile for a while your tires' temperature goes down along with the
pressure in your tires, the molecules in the air inside your tires get compacted (cold)
This is the best time to get a true PSI reading from your tires....
the recommended tire pressure on most tires should be set at 35PSI
But there might be a problem with your sensors, I work with TOYOTA their sensors are set up to
where when the PSI on your tires drops below the 35PSI, the tire pressure light would then
come on.
You should also check if your spare tire comes equipped with pressure sensors, which in most cases
they do, depending on the type of tire the PSI on spare tires will usually range from 35PSI- 80PSI
you can check your owners manual for this, or simply read the recommended PSI written on the
tire.
