I bought a used Blazer about 2 years ago. I noticed a few months after buying it that when it gets cold (especially if it rains) my windshield wipers stop working as does my windows, radio and ac/heat panels. It happened sporadically. Meaning, it would go out then back on real quick.. then I wouldn't have a problem for about a month.. then bad weather strikes again and there goes all of the above. Over the past year and a half, it has gotten worse. Meaning, more frequent and longer interruptions. It was fine this past summer, but I have been completely without wipers, radio, ac, heat and the ability to roll my windows down for 6 weeks now. On the bright side, my gauges, dash lights, blinkers and cigarette lighter all work. Does anybody have any idea what could be wrong?

same problem we bought ours a few months ago thinking we were getting a good car but have had nothing but trouble with it for the last 2 months. same thing our abs light came on along with the tracktion control light and the brakes get really stiff with the pulsating. i have read that it could be a bad pigtail wiring harness to the computer. i will tell you one thing i will never buy another chevy." bummed out in bellingham wa".
Im getting that feeling myself. I bought thhis truck 2 months ago, the ball joints had to be replaced and now for some reason I told my fiance it seems like its not in gear, like doesn't sound right!!! Also I am getting a clunk sound when I take off from a red light, I sure hope that it aint the rear!
Need a new tranny! Just had that happen a few months ago to my 02 silverado. I would call a chevy delaership first and see if there are any recalls on them first before take it to a mechanic! Good luck with everything I know it can be a headache but make sure you get as many quotes as possible!
To your problem with the air bag, I was driving an 07 GMC Sierra 1500 that was doing the same thing. Next thing the charges went on the seat belt tensioners, luckily I was parked because the belts gave me a pretty violent **** back. Turns out the SDM was corroded and caused the action, and there was no reason the air bags didn't deploy as well other than pure luck. I would say get it checked by GM, you don't want to mess around with safety systems. You can visually inspect the integrity of the SDM, it's located under the driver's seat, unfortunately I think the seat has to be removed to see it. Mine had a calcium like build up all over the external casing.
Possible malfunctioning remote control or receiver.
Try removing the battery from your remote (keep it handy) or take the #2 remote instead to see if the problem persists.
Right now, it could be in either one of two places.
Another thought; if you have never replaced the battery in your keychain remote, it may be overdue; 13 years is even way past the 'shelf-life' of these.
IT IS NOT GOING INTO NEUTRAL. IT HAS LOST THE DIRECT DRIVE CLUTCH PACK INTERNALLY. SOUNDS LIKE IT IS HIGH MILEAGE. IF SO AND YOU CHANGE THE FLUID IT CLEANS UP ALL THE VARNISH IN THE TRANNY AND THE END RESULT IS TRANNY MALFUNCTIONS DEPENDING ON WHAT KIND OF CARE IT HAS HAD IN THE PAST.
