SOURCE: 2004 Lincoln Aviator Crack in Lift Gate

Take it to a Lincoln dealer. The Lincoln body has a longer warranty than most cars. Your liftgate may not be made of metal, but the through and through failure warranty from Rust could be questionable enough to cover it.

We had a new door and trunklid warranteed after 5 years on our Mark 7. Plus they painted the entire car.

I just changed the fuel filter on my 2003 Aviator and it was a pain. Aftwer looking and looking I finally found it. It is located under the truck at the center of the front crossmember behind a shield. Two bolts hold the shield and there are two quick release hoses on the fuel filter itsself. Good luck!!!

SOURCE: 2004 Murano has an oil leak near the oil filter

The oil filter mounts on an oil cooler housing that has an o-ring on the block side of it. The housing is held in place by the double ended connector bolt that the oil filter screws onto one side and the other goes into the block. This should be tighten to 37 ft/lbs. prior to installation of the oil filter. It may be loose or the o-ring might need replacement.

Had the oil changed in 2005 Lincoln Aviator. Now oil leaking from around the filter, which is tight. Problem??

yes it is.. take it back and make them give you a new filter and watch them do this...check the area ON THE ENGINE WHERE THE FILTER SEATS and wipe it clean..then on the new filter..it it sits upright on the engine..make them fill it up before they put it on, and PUT OIL ON THE GASKET OF THE FILTER..then hand tighten to 1/4 turn after contact..then 1/2 turn with the wrench..some new filters are made en-mass and arent checked for certain deficiencies after manufacturing..I have seen several new ones have pinholes in the filter even tho its new..make them give you a new one free..

Had my oil changed last month. My dash lite telling me low oil pressure. Systems checkd 96 percent ok. Why is this lite on?

Make sure the oil did not drain out. Sometimes the oil filter does not seal perfectly and oil leaks out. Also check and see if your oil pump is still functioning properly. Oil pressure can also drop if the seal in the engine is worn. If this happens, oil will enter the engine and burn off. Hope this helps in some way
