99 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 / nothing but parking lights,no flashers or brake lights......

I have just begun to have problems with my tail lights.I have no hazzards or signal lights(replaced the relay on fuse panel and checked fuses under hood all good). All fuses are good as well as bulbs.Hazzards in the past acted up after about a minute of being on(blinking stopped but brake lights/signals were fine and working). How many relays control the light system on the componets I am having problems with?

I found the problem on my Dodge Ram van.. The button for the hazard lights was bad.. I tuned on the hazard lights and only had one side, so i jiggled it and the other side came on. Then I pushed in the hazard button to turn them off and proceeded to check the brake lights, the still did not work so I again jiggled the hazard button and whaaalaaa the brake lights would flicker on and off.. I have a piece of cardboard pushing the button to the side to hold pressure on it keeping my brake light connection until I can get me a new hazzard switch.. Hope this helps..

2002 dodge ram 1500 brake and parking lots went out

Both. If the running lights ( marker, tail, clearence, or parking) and brake lights are out since the rain, a tail light assembly is broken and filling with water enough to create a short to ground. If there's no broken lens, whitch normally only blows the bulb. Then, the problem lyes in the trailer light harness. the brown wire (tail) & green wire (left turn/brake or yellow wire (right turn/brake) must be bare exsposed that shorts to ground when wet. all the trailer wires could be smashed together damaged the plastic coating on them. no problem till water shorts to ground. The white wire is the ground wire make its not able to touch the other 3 wires or bare & wet. Tape wires seperate then replace tail/mkr fuse and brake fuse. That should do it.

Have got tail lights but no back up,brake , or flashers on the bck they all work on the front

Check the fuses. If they are still good.A flasher and replacement bulbs are pretty inexpensive. If this does not solve the problem, moisture or a short in the system may be the cause.

Brake, hazard and turnsignals not working, headlights and tail lights work fine

I suggest first check FLASHER unit. On 2001 Dodge Truck RAM 1500 1/2 ton 4WD 5.2L SFI 8cyl the Flasher is located on seating area, driver side, at the left side ofinstrument panel on fuse block.

Hope this helps (remember to rating this free answer and leave a testimonial comment).

I turn my headlights on but my dash light and tail lights do not turn on. brake lights and turn signals work just find. 2000 dodge ram 1500

The parking lights do use their own fuse, but also have their own connector on the light switch, because you need to be able to turn them on without having the headlights on.

So first check the fuses with a test light, and then if they are all good, check the output of the light switch, to see if a lead get hot when only in the parking light position. If not, then it is the switch.

Tail Lights stay on all the time.

under the dashboard on the drivers side. look at the brake pedal lever. there should be a switch attached. push switch in and twist to remove. then pull the button as far out as it will go. while holding brake pedal down reinstall switch. then pull pedal up to top. this will reset the brake light switch. if they stay on still, then just replace the brake light switch.
