Where is the fuse box on my blazer?? I found all three dome lights on even though they were turned off at the switch. I now have a dead battery which I'm going to recharge. I thought I would check the fuses but haven't been able to find them. Help!

Chances are you're not going to find an issue within the fuse box. The most likely source of your problem is a bad dimmer switch.

2000 F250 dome light will not go out ,even with door cosed. had to pull fuse.

THE SWITCH FOR THE DOME LAMP IS ON THE DOOR LATCH, INSIDE THE DOOR ITSELF, I AM NOT SURE IF YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE SWITCH ONLY OR THE WHOLE DOOR LOCK, CALL FORD DEALERSHIP PARTS DEPARTMENT FOR CORRECT INFORMATION.

My Chevy Optra does not shut off when I turn the ignition off. Two dealers have checked it out and can not find a trouble code. It is 2005

I had a 2006 Chevy Optra that wouldn't shut off as well. When I opened the door it would turn off but as soon as the door was closed the dash lights would come on dim and kill the battery if left long enough. If i pulled the I/P fuse in the engine compartment fuse box it would solve the problem but it killed the dome light as well. Pulling the cluster fuse or the wiper fuse from the i/p fuse box had the same effect....it was a real stumper as alldata had no listing for a 2006 Chevrolet Optra so I couldn't find any wiring schematics at all. I did a bit more research and found that the Suzuki Forenza is the same car. i got a wiring schematic and found out that the dome light module/key-in buzzer is actually in the dome light itself. I unplugged the dome light/module and jumped the orange(batt +) to the pink(ign) that comes directly from the I/P fuse and the car would stay running after i turned the ignition off. I cut the pink wire and installed a diode so that battery voltage couldn't backfeed to the I/P fuse. It's been three days now and every time i turn the ignition off the car shuts off, just like it's supposed to. A faulty dome light module seems to be the problem and a $3 diode fixes it. The people that own the car have spent hundreds of dollars trying to figure this problem out and didn't want to spend another $250 for a module. I hope this helps somebody as it seems to be a popular problem.

My dome light wouldn't shut off, removed fuse, but battery still keeps dying

A Battery "DRAW" Test Should be Performed.
TOOL:: >With A 12 Volt Test Light
Disconnect GROUND Cable @ Battery, Connect TESTLIGHT CLIP End to CABLE End And PROBE TO The Battery, The LIGHT SHOULD Come ON.
KEEP IT ON AND MONITERED While Removing 1 by 1 the FUSES In Main Fuse BOX, Untill the Light Goes OFF.
When It DOES you have FOUND the CURCIUT that is Draining your Battery. Take Nessasary Steps to Correct THAT Problem and You Have Fixed the Problem.
THIS IS ALL AFTER INSURING THAT THE BATTERY IS CHARGED AND TESTED. a DEAD CELL IN THE BATTERY will MASK ITSELF WITH THIS TROUBLE DISCRIPTION

Dome lights won't turn off

Been having a problem with the dome lights on a 99 chevy blazer. Still can't figure out what the problem is. There is a dome light overide button located under the dimmer wheel. When I push the overide button in the dome light goes off, but when I open any of the doors the dome light will not come on. When the overide button is out the dome light stays on all the time and will not turn off even though every door is closed. I checked all the pushbuttons and everything tests good. Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?

No electrical power to anything - even dome light.

Check battery and chassis earth connections are ok.
Check for 12v power at the fuse/power disrtribution fuse bus; - if no power there, trace circuit wiring back to battery.

Interior dome light stays on when driving.

Sounds like the dome light has been turned on using the switch on the dash. Most of the time the dash dimmer switch is set up so that if the dimmer is in the maximum position, the dome light can be turned on. If the dome light has been turned on like this, it still will turn off after some time to save your battery. Then when you unlock the door with the remote, it goes back to the same state it was when it was left in - "ON". Check for this switch on the dash, and roll it to get it off of the "ON" position.
