It is a Chrysler product...........JUNK!!! They know it and they won't recall anything, they make far too much off the replacement modules. Hell, they can't even keep them in stock. They are on back order. What a joke of a company. Forget better fuel milage, just give me a vehicle that doesn't cost me an arm and a leg in repairs. My first and last Dodge.Won't be looking back either...........................

Ooops, sorry they will tell you the Front Control Module and the Power Distribution Module has internal short in both of them. They are quite common...........Reach for your wallet.........

My 98 dakota tail lights are not working what could it be??

Assuming you checked the fuses and bulbs.....check the brake pedal switch just up from the footpedal itself. Make sure the adjuster hasnt slipped up and is no longger connecting to the pedal which makes the lights come on. Be sure your bulbs are good and check the fuses with a continuity tester. Some fuses can look good and be bad. If none of this works check for voltage at the bulbs and work your way back toward the cab. You may have a cut wire.

Back up lights

Check the side of your transmission and you should see the reverse switch that will have several wires coming out of it. This controls your reverse lights

99 dakota fog lamps wont work although headlamps still work.

Check the relay to the fog light, it's the fuse and relay box under the hood behind the battery. Take the relay out labeled fog light and switch it with an other relay for now just to see if it is the relay, it the fog light's work then it's the relay. If they don't work then it's the switch, good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted, be glad to help.

well because the abs light indicates a problem with your anti-lock braking system you need to find out why it is on.... keep in mind one quick way you would disengage your cruise is with the brake pedal.
under the hood is a fuse panel (often located near the battery) ... see if there is a relay in the for your cruise... replace that.
