Hello! I suspect a defective rear wiper switch...However they are very expensive...This is an unusual fault due to the off in 5 minutes factor...Is that a consistent time period or does it change? I would first remove the wiper switch...Pull the connectors...And spray with a product called DeOxit from Radio Shack...If that doesn't help... Located behind the glove box, up high, is the alarm relay control module...Take it out and visually inspect the circuit board with a bright light view the solder side for cold joints or damage...See photo of Wiper switch below...They run about $200 for a new one...I'd look for a used one...Guru..saailer

Hello, Im having trouble with a 1998 rodeo windshield wiper control arm that I replaced. I cant get the wipers to go in the correct direction. Everything look fine, but the pivot on the motor is probably...

Try disconnecting the wiper linkage from the motor. Turn on the motor and let it run, then shut it off. Make sure your wipers are "parked" and check if the linkage will line up with the motor.

2002 isuzu rodeo. rear wiper continues to run after car is shut off. it eventually stops but is not in the right position

probably a worn motor, they have a brass slider that rubs on a track on a gear in the motor this gives it the park position, usually it gives an earth return to the motor, to set it going the switch provides an earth, when you turn it off it runs until the slider detects the park position,with wear and water ingress this all goes unreliable

Have a 2000 Isuzu rodeo v6. When I go to start

Sounds like the motor has shorted and is receiving an intermittent signal. I would try a pick n pull salvage yard and replace the motor; it should not cost much at all.

1996 Rodeo Isuzu - I put it in Winter Drive and now 1 rear wheel

Based on another similar problem and it was fixed driving backwards, that's exactly what I did. I drove the Rodeo backwards and then would stop and put it in gear and did this for 10 minutes until I worked the 4x4 gear loose and now all four wheels run. I must say, I created quite a sight driving backwards in a Wal-Green's parking lot for 10 minutes.

Replaced battery,now rear wiper control lites are flashing.

The procedure for re-setting the HVAC control panel on a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan follows:
With ignition on but not running
1. turn knob to air vents
2. turn fan knob to ON
3. temperature setting on COLD (2X) {I have dual temp controls}
4. hold top(rear wiper) and bottom (rear wiper with wash) buttons pressing down together until all the buttons cycle through (this will require 1 to 2 minutes of continuous pressing)
Hopefully, this also applies to 1997 version. I learned this from a very helpful local Dodge service adviser
