Question about Fiat Cars & Trucks
The light is red and like a thermostat with 3 lines coming out on the left side it is not on constantly but getting more frequend , any help would be great thanks ,,
Hi Craig, We don't have the vehicle where I am, so please realise 'I'm guessing, but doing that, I think that if the coolant level is fine, you may be looking at the warning for the catalytic converter over heat warning. If the vehicle has recently been for a tune make sure the correct spark plugs have been fitted. Take the vehicle and have it scanned. The defect will be identified and then you can correct it. It may be a defective sender unit for the coolant or a defective thermostat, causing the engine to run hotter than it should. Regards John PS Let me know what sign it is when you find out. I like to learn! Regards John

you need to change the flasher unit .... also check fuse # 24 on the fuse panel inside the vehicle. the flasher unit should be just under the dash on the steering wheel side... i have alot of information on that vehicle but i couldn't find where exactly the flasher unit is located.

this is not a big job - infact pretty straight forward -word of warning thou do not buy the replacement pan from e-bay - only tip i can give is once removed leave it standing for 24hours so all access oil is drained - makes it easier to fit new one also a cleaner job and less likely to leak - andy

SOURCE: fiat punto acceleration problems
I had a similar problem with a 98 sporting. It turned out to be firstly the clutch had worn down to almost nothing and the fuel filter hadn't been changed in a good while so it got clogged. I would do the filter first. (located just under the drivers side near the rear wheel.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
