Question about 1992 Mazda MX-6
I'm sorry, but that description is too vague to provide any useful "solution" for your problem other than to advise you to have someone that knows about cars to look at it so they can see (and hear) first-hand what is going on with your car.

OK, the motor that you are referring to has lots of cooper windings and internal parts that can become misaligned during long term operations and extreme heat situations. this noise you are hearing is basically a warning sign that is trying to tell you that this motor is failing and will go out soon.

SOURCE: check engine light Mazda MX-6
Take the car to an autoparts store and have them scan the computer for stored fault codes. The light is to alert you that the computer has noted a fault in one of the car's systems. Most parts stores will do the scan for free and getting the codes will show what faults the computer identified, so you can take appropriate action. Hope this helped and best wishes.
