USE BELT DRESSING ON BELTS AND PULLIES OR CHECK IF BELTS ARE TOO TIGHT. ALSO COULD BE ONE OF THE PULLIES BEARINGS ARE OUT

You need to check the pulley alignment of all the pulleys, they should all be in a perfectly straight line, otherwise the belt will squeal

Loud squeal when I drive.


You need new brake pads . it has a metal tip that squeals on the rotor when they are worn.

When driving my xj6 2003 model there is a thump


are the drive shafts ok ,check the oil level as well,start engine ,handbrake on and a brick behind the back wheels ,now drop into reverse and then wipe the dipstick and check oil level.If you have a later model you may have have it up on ramp and check oil level is to the filler plug level

Im getting a clunk when changing from drive to reverse.in my 1995 jaguar xj6.


possible drive/tail shaft from trans to diff universal joints or lash(play) in the Dif you need to get someone to look under it to see ..its not hard to diagnose

Won't go into drive but will drive in reverse in 1989 jaguar xj6


you need a new trans. go get one from the junk yard. just tell them what hind of car you have

I had the same problem. The dealer had to reprogram the ecu. It cost about $110.
