Question about 1992 Ford Explorer
Bought the suv and it started missing and bucking really bad at idol and acceleration. the coil pack works fine, changed the plugs and wires and it made it not buck but just a constant miss at idol and acceleration. the old plugs were fine all but one and it was black but didnt smell like fuel or nothing. Checked them all again when i changed the spark plugs, and they all looked black. Please help!
Since you had problems with coil pack(s) previously, fire it up at
night inthe dark- you will see arcing long before evidence of carbon
tracking. You may have bad plug wires, you may have another bad coil
pack, you may have a different coil pack failing. you may also ahve a
plug wire that is not seated fully. Did you grease the boots
internally with some dielectric grease?
Check fuel pressure regulator, at idle, pull the vacuum hose off- if you get a stream of gas- the diaphragm is ruptured- replace regulator.
If no stream of fuel out the vacuum line and the engine shows no change in how it runs, put a gauge on it. 135 PSI is the range it should be. If higher- replace regulator.
Do a cylinder pressure test on each cylinder. This will reveal if you have a burned or bent valve
Consider a replacement set of injectors if the mileage on the vehicle is more than 75,000 miles- which is the expected service life of the injectors.

The 1st thing to replace is the plugs and plug wires, they are goood for about 100,000 miles, then if that doesn't do it you may have more serious concern. issues

try replacing the fuel filter.if it does not fix it,remove and inspect the mass air flow meter if there is any thing in there like lint etc, remove it will cause throttle issues.

SOURCE: bucking while idling
Have the upper and lower intake manifold checked. It needs to be a cold start. 2000's are notorious for having the gaskets crack and leak. This may be causing the engine to idle rough at start-up ans somewhat disappear after warming. Winter starts can shake the steering wheel!
P.s. I had it fixed at 65,000 miles (warranty), and am having it fixed again at $120,000 miles.
