SOURCE: replaced pump won't run unless you prime throttle

I assume that you mean that that you have to keep your foot on the gas pedal to keep it running if this is the case I would replace the idle air control solenoid or IAC as it mostly called it is a ez fix it is located on top of the engine in plain site with two 8mm bolts it will take about 10 minutes start to finish, again I am saying this with the above guess if this is not true I will need more info.

SOURCE: fuel not getting to injectors

have you changed the fuel filter? or it could be the fuel pump. FIRST chek if their is gas in your tank, if not fill it.if so then take off the hose at fuel rail and put it in a jar or something like that. then start it "but just for a second". then chech if there is gas in the gar, if not check the pump by taking off the filter and donig the same thing. if still no gas then the pump is bad. hit the bottem of your tank realy hard with your fist, it should work. if not then you need a new one.

SOURCE: new fuel pump will only run if i prime when prime

Either the 'new' fuel pump is defective, or it could be that the hoses or connectors were not hooked up correctly, or, was the inertia switch ever turned back on, i.e. the fuel pressure restored...

SOURCE: I cant find a priming pump

No pump. The only pump is the injection pump.

12ht wont prime

filling the filters before installing will make priming go more quickly.
once the pump is primed crack open the fuse line at the injector while cranking until you have fuel pulsing out, close it then move on to the next injector.
keep doing this until the engine runs smoothly.
it may start running before all the injectors have been purged so keep clear of all moving parts and a fire extinguisher handy would be a good idea.

I have a 1996 deville. I have replaced the in tank fuel pump and can hear run for a minute but I cant get fuel to the rail I disconected the lines and nothing still.

Yes it could.
Sometimes you have to jumper the pump relay to get it to run long enough to get the air out of the system and the new pump primed.

Where is the fuel filter on 1999 dodge ram 1500

Open the hood of the Dodge Ram and locate the fuel canister located against the firewall of the vehicle. There is a yellow handle next to the canister that has a hose attached to it. Place the bucket underneath the hose and open the handle. Allow all the fuel in the canister to drain into the bucket. Remove the lid of the canister. Remove the fuel filter and place it to the side.
Install the new fuel filter o-rings onto the new filter. Use a small bit of automotive grease to help hold the o-rings in place. Slide the fuel filter into the canister.
Reinstall the lid to the fuel canister and tighten it down. Prime the fuel system before starting the motor. Turn the key to "acc" and allow the fuel pump to send fuel to the filter. Allow it to prime for 10 seconds and then try to start the Dodge Ram. Repeat step 6 if necessary. good-day !

On way to gas station car stopped, not quite out of gas but almost. push her to station and fill her up. Car still will not start. She acts like she wants to turn over and maybe like she is not getting...

Let her sit for a little while. Then, turn the car to the "run" position, and assuming you have an electronic fuel pump, it will begin to prime itself (Because you probably lost prime when it ran out of fuel). Keep doing this about 5-10 times, leaving it in the "Run" position for 20 seconds. If you have a mechanical fuel pump, however (you will know because turning the key to "on" with the blower motor off makes no noise, unless it's the electronic fan), you will just have to keep cranking, letting the starter cool back down, and repeating until it fires off.

Does the 04 sonata really have a fuel filter?

Hi, the fuel filter is by the front of the gas tank. but the person was right about the strainer on the fuel pump but that is just the first filter to keep large sediments out, and secondary filter is to keep the small stuff out.

I changed the 2 fuel filters the truck ran for 2 mins. than stoped I was wondering if i had to prime the system.

No priming. It will do it by itself. It may take 4 or 5 cranks and runs before it reaches fuel regulator. If not, you may have a leak or a faulty regulator

HHR LOST POWER AND SHUT OFF. IT STARTED RIGHT BACK BUT WHAT CAUSED IT TO STOP.

Going to keep it simple since it started up again and is running, Chances are the fuel filter has come to the end of it's life and needs to be replaced. After saying this you may get away with filling the gas tank a few times and adding fuel injector cleaner to the gas since the new style fuel pump with the filter is also know as self cleaning filters and is good for life till the electric pump fails it self, which has an average life of 150,000 miles. You can get more life out of the pump if you run more then half a tank of gas always, the gas it self is what keeps the electric pump cool and less gas means hotter running fuel pump.
GM has stopped putting in-line filters in some models since 2004. Other manufacturers have been doing it longer. The fuel sender assembly (pump/regualtor/sock/level sensor) inside the tank has a container on the bottom of it about the size of 1/2 coffee can. All the fuel pick up components are inside of this container. It has a small intake port in the very bottom that filters the bigger debris so that the fuel that is filling the container is fairly clean. The fuel fills the container and a sock(filter) is used at the end of the fuel pumps pick-up tube. Smaller debris that makes it to the sock is then filtered by the sock before entering the fuel pump and simply falls to the bottom of the container.

Todays pumps are much more robust then pumps of old also. We still see more failures of the old style pumps with in-line fuel filters then we do of the newer style. GM calls this a self cleaning system. Any debris that does not go into the canister of the fuel pump assembly falls to the bottom of the tank and any debris that the sock stops falls to the bottom of the canister when the fuel pump is shut off. We are talking very small amounts of debris here too.

Good luck and hope this helps and like mentioned, try running the HHR with more then half a tank of gas and adding fuel injector cleaner for now.

1999 dodge ram 2500 5.9 cummins diesel.won't start.turns over thats it. put in a new intake fuel pump. still won't start.got fuel to the injectors sometimes.

Check the fuel pressure at the filter. Odds are the lift pump, located below the filter, is toast. Continual cranking of the motor with a bad LP wil cause the injector pump to heat up and burn out. Replace the LP and fuel filter. Bleed the system by cracking the inlet to the injector pump and bumping the enigine over so the LP will run. Once you have fuel at the injector pump, crack injectors 1,3,and 4. Crank the motor for no more 6 or 7 seconds at a time until it turns over. Give the pump time to cool for a couple of mintues between cranks. This process is easier with two people, one to crank and the other to watch for fuel and tighten the injectors once it starts. If the injector pump is fried at this point from cranking with no fuel, the motor should idle, but will stumble all over itself when the throttle is applied.
