Question about 1991 Ford Explorer
As with all injected Fords, inertia switch could be tripped if something bumped into car. Seen this trip after dropping vehicle to the floor on a floor jack too. If the inertia swith isnot it, feel free to get back to me and we'll do some furthur exploring. Mitchell claims that the fuel pump inertia swith is located on the right(passenger) side of the transmission hump, under the carpet, on the toe board. If you don't find it there, check the owner's manual. There is a red button on the side of the switch, that will click audibly when pushed, if the switch was indeed tripped.

SOURCE: describe your 1991 ford explorer
It's not getting fuel, when you turn the key, listen for a whine coming from near the gas tank, if you don't her it, you've got a bad fuel pump....
