Charge At he low side port, the low side is the large AC line, it may also me on the accumulator, that is a can like part near the firewall, the low side line goes to it from the AC compressor. Make sure you pull a vacuum on the system before you charge it, other wise it may not cool properly due to water vapor in the in the system.

Check the big red wire on the back of the alternator for power. The wire likes to get corroded in half inside the casing but is still held together BY the casing. you can even take a jumper cable from the positive side of the battery to the big/single wire on the back of the alternator. Now , you could have a bad ground also. take a voltmeter or test light and with the ground of the tester on the ground of the battery check for power on the case of the alternator. Another thing , does the alternator or charge light on the dash light up woth the key off? the alternator knows to "start-up" or "field-up" by the power it recieves through the bulb before the engine is started. once the engine starts the small brown wire on the alternator goes hot and shuts the light on the dash off cause it now has power on both legs of it. if the bulb blows then the alternator won't field-up. good luck. First check alt At The Back of Alt Big Red Wire Were hooks to Post (stud) Do you have voltage ?? How Much??
What Voltage do you have at same Place with Engine Running ??
Now At wires Were they plug into Alt ,Top. Wires in White Plastic Clip, Do You Have Powe With Key On ?? How Much Voltage??
Jump across the 2 in the clip (with Engine Running)ONLY TEMPORARY!! Do You Have Voltage at Battery ?? How Much??
If Over 13volts With Clip On (Jumped) You Need A Internal Voltage Regulator ..
Is Batt Light On on Dash ??? Theres A Lot Of Testing You Can Do !!! And I will Need More Infomation to Keep Going ... These are just some Possible Problems No Way In Depth ...
Could Be a Number of things Or May be Just as Simple As a Blown Fuse, Dirty Batt Cables ETC etc etc I Hope It Puts You On The Right track !!!!!!!!!!

Check all your fuses if you had a system failure it could have blown a fuse. I am not sure on your vehicle where the fuse is in the car or under the hood it could also have a relay. You can check your alternator by checking the voltage at the back of the alternator where the big wire bolts on. You should have 14+ volts at the alternator.

You have to remove the belt. Also you can have it tested on the vehicle.Once you have the 2 bolts off and the belt the alternator should come off.Good luck.
