What wires come out of the manual transmission on a 97 honda civic

I was wondering if there is a wire that comes out of the trans that would give a ground when not in gear.

As fire as i'm aware? no wires however the ground earth cable from battery on some vehicles bolts to the clutch housing at some point where it attaches to engine block as do ford escorts etc? so g/box will have ground and is thick cable to provide for starter motor? some vehicles also have additional earth cable from battery to body/chassis for circuit for lights/ etc

Without ANY details, it is impossible to give you any direction. If you have a check engine light on then have someone read the codes, many trans problems show up on the diagnostics.

Yes your original computer is set up for automatic transmission. You will have to get a computer out of a manual trans car and you wont have the problems.

PRISE SWITCH OUT AND CHECK FOR CROSSED WIRES IF SWITCH IS CAPUT GO TO BREAKERS YARD FOR REPLACEMENT.

remove crossmember, axles, cables, tranny mount bolts (3), tranny to engine of course bolts

1989 Honda Civic hard starting and dies for no reason. Cooling fans not working. Trouble codes are #6 coolant, #10 air intake temp, #16 fuel injector. Can anyone lead me to a solution for these problems?

check your wiring for dirty connections or broken wires, you may have wires that are rubbed through or connectors that are not making full contact. you will need an ohm meter and check wires for continuity. a wiring diagram will be needed.

97 CIVIC DX HATCH REVERSE LIGHTS NOT WORKING AUTO/MANUAL SWAP


it is very difficult to match wiring harness from auto tranny to manual tanny they are different connectors and reverse lights on auto tranny was connected to the nuetral safety switch about 6 to 8 different wires on manual tranny there is a switch located on the top of the tranny and backup lights are connected only with 1 wire you may need to get some help from auto electrition this should not cost alot of money to fix thanks

it would be more in the clutch systems than in the transmission. your clutch may be getting weak
