Try first using the ignition key to unlock the system , in case this is locked.
If it is not this, then you can reset the whole system by unplugging battery cables for ten minutes.
Ensure you have your car stereo code if you decide to unplu the battery, as you will be asked for security code when you connect back the battery.

Check that your battery is fully charged. If it does not sustain a charge , replace it. Clean the cables and battery posts with baking soda and water mixture. About 1/4 cup to a pint. If it still does not turn with a fully chared battery, it is probably the starter that is bad. It will have to be replaced. One click usually means the starter is bad. Several clicks usually means the battery is bad.

get one of those 9v cig lighter socket power supplies,that will keep codes in yr radio and computer,then you can disconnect the earth first,then positive,then the clamp,then the battery.dont spill the battery acid
