SOURCE: Where is the signal flasher located fo an 2003

Typically the location is the fuse box. check your manual.
but more importantly, what are you trying to solve. If signals work correctly in one direction but not the other the issue is NOT the flasher. Typically the issue is not the flasher, but rather some light or grounding issue...test carefully

Testimonial: "Actually found it located behind the radio mounted on a brace. Removed cover and relay pulls out. About 1" cube with 5 terminals on it."

SOURCE: my hazard lights work, on my 1999 expedition xlt,

This is a common problem for the turn signal switch itself. Try used. You will notice in the instructions to remove the steering wheel. Don't. The removal of the ignition switch is also not necessary. Remove the screws at the bottom of the column where it shows and take a screw driver and pry the other side up to see the 2 screws (torx, or star bits) to remove. This will only take about 20 minutes to perform.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the 4 retaining screws from the lower column shroud and remove the upper and lower shrouds.
  3. Remove the 2 retaining screws from the multi-function switch and unplug the 2 wiring connectors.
  4. Remove the switch.

To install:
  1. Install the multi-function switch.
  2. Tighten the 2 retaining screws and attach the 2 electrical connectors.
  3. Install the upper and lower column shrouds. Tighten the 4 retaining screws.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the ignition key and tumbler as follows:
    1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
    2. Push the lock cylinder release pin with a suitable punch while pulling out the lock cylinder.

  3. If equipped, twist off the tilt wheel handle and remove.
  4. Remove 3 steering column shroud retaining screws and remove the upper and lower shrouds.
  5. Remove 2 self-tapping screws that retain the combination switch to the steering column casting. Disengage the switch from the casting.
  6. Detach the electrical connectors, being careful not to damage the locking tabs and the shift position indicator cable.

To install:
  1. Connect the combination switch electrical harness connectors ensuring that the connectors are fully engaged. The wiring for the switch is to be routed under the shift position indicator cable.
  2. Install the combination switch with 2 self-tapping screws. Tighten to 19-25 inch lbs. (2-3 Nm).
  3. Install the upper and lower steering column shrouds. Install the retaining screws and tighten to 9 inch lbs. (1 Nm).
  4. If equipped, install the tilt wheel handle ad tighten to 44 inch lbs. (5 Nm).
  5. Install the ignition key and tumbler assembly.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
  7. Check the steering column and combination switch for proper operation.

Can't find the fuse for the signal lights on 99 expedition

The turn signal flasher assembly is located under the driver's side of the instrument panel, on the front of the fuse panel for the 1997-98 F-250HD, F-350 and F-Super Duty models and under the center section of the instrument panel in the relay/flasher block on all other models.

Also can review the 1999 Ford Expedition Owners Manual (page 132 for Fuse Panel Description); this is in the position 23, 10Amp (Turn/Hazard Flasher and others).

I really hope helps with this (remember rated this help) Good luck.

Flashers

The flasher unit is located behind the dash and almost above the steering column. A very real pain to get at. There are 2 different type of flashing units the cheap one for about 30 dollars like mine, or the expensive one for like 100 dollars. The parts store had to use the VIN# to find out what month it was made for the correct flasher. The unit is in the shape of a cube and before you get it apart, which is hard, remember the orientation. This will be helpful when putting it back together. I used a small flat screwdriver to unlock the tabs located on both sides. The fit is so snug it it was difficult to get apart. It goes together the same way. Very akward location and very tight fit made it difficult. Took me about an hour to do. .
