Under the left hand side of the dash. One little hint though, if you absolutely cannot find it, remove the under dash panel and look up in there. I've seen it many times where Bozo the Clown has performed a service where the aldl needed to be removed from it's bracket and moved out of the way, and old Bozo doesn't reattach it, and just shoves it under the panel. Good luck!

OBDII Reader wont connect to ECU, How do i check the aldl connecter/where is it located

If you don't know where the DLC - data link connector or ALDL -assembly line diagnostic link , both are proper terminology and are the same ! How did you hook up the OBD 2 reader ? because that's where you need to hook up a scan tool , code reader etc. Below dash left side of the steering wheel !

Cranks but won't start no signal to Aldl what should I do?

Check your aldl fuse. There is a chance that if the fuse is blown and you are not getting power to the aldl, then you are not getting power to the ECU.

No information reading on scan tool when connected to aldl plug on jeep wrangler

Yes. Or one of the circuits back to the computer.
Even tho you have driven 200 miles the drive must include several things including stop-n-go and various speeds to be ready for a test.
You should be able to connect a scanner to the connector and read the current data flow from the sensors even if the system is not ready for a test.

Need pin locations for analdl connector for a 1996 pontic grand am

Below is a wirinf diagram for the plug. I wasn't sure which engine you had so I went with the 3.1 liter engine. If you need the one for the 4 cylinder or if you need this one bigger (this is the largest I can post on here do to size limits) you can email me at csautomotivecars@att.net but remind me of the make model year and engine size. Hope this helps.

Tengo una gmc la sierra 1500 5.7 vortec ano 1997 le acavo de reparar el motor pero no la puedo poner a tiempo

Clean off the crankshaft pulley at the front of the engine and put some paint on the timing marks. Start the car and turn off any accessories such as climate control, lights and the radio. Start the engine until it warms up.

Connect the timing light to the battery and then to the number one ignition wire. Locate the assembly line diagnostic link also called an ALDL and use a jump wire to connect the diagnostic terminal "B" to the ground terminal marked "A". The ALDL is located under the left side of the instrument panel. Not all models of the GMC Sierra have an ALDL.

  • Point the timing light at the crankshaft pulley to verify the need for adjustment. Adjust the timing by loosening the distributor mounting bolts and turning the distributor until the crankshaft timing mark lines up with the middle line of the timing light

  • Tighten the distributor mounting bolts and recheck the timing. Remove the jumper wire from the ALDL with the engine running. Turn the engine off and remove the tachometer and timing light. Reconnect the number one ignition wire.

Want to check for trouble codes, can't find the ALDL connector, suposed to be RH of drivers feet area I am told.

Hello veloruss: My name is Roger and I will try to answer your question so you can locate the terminal. You will find the ALDL connector on the right side of the drivers dash in the area of the gas pedal. Locate the white 3 wire connector. you will also see a green 3 wire connector with a single wire connector. Make sure you use the white 3 wire connector.Jump wires 1 and 3 together to obtain the computer codes. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the quality of the answer. This way I know the answer was correct. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger
