Okay. I go to blow the horn at someone and it does not matter how hard I push the horn...nothing. Okay, I get ready to get out of the car and I mash the door lock button on the door panel, get out of the car walk maybe 2 to 5 ft away from the car and the horn blows????every time. So if it works then why don't it work when I push it on the steering wheel?

SOURCE: 98 bonneville horn issue- changed both horns,

The HORN Is a GROUND CONTROLLED BUTTON you need to FIRST Check under CENTER STEERING WHEEL Cover to see if it has a Bad Commectiot, After Asuring this there Is c CLOCK Spring UNDER Steering Wheel that is Fairly Common for Failing.

The FOB / Remote Utilizes a Different Part of the Curcuit to Activate Horn, I Hope this Helps you With your Problem as Im Sure of All that I Advised. Remember to RATE ME !!

no, sounds like its time for new horns, have someone push horn button while you check for power at the horn, if theres power then replace the horns, sounds like bad horns to me,good luck.

SOURCE: door locks and unlooks its self and hazard lights

sounds like the body control module has gone bad. have the vehicle scanned - a multiple amount of BCM codes will confirm this. only other suspicion would be if there is an aftermarket alarm / remote starter could cause these symptoms.

SOURCE: problem with pontiac G6 (2005) alarm when door opens

how do you unlock it.... with the fob? If so, get it reprogrammed (bring all the fobs at once)
If you unlock it with a turnkey, of course it will set off the alarm!

Alarm is programable. May have to take to dealer or possible after market shop. When battery power was lost it lost memory.

Put new battery in car and horn continues to blow

Hi Guest,
If the horn is blowing in pulses,it is probably the anti-theft system. Connect the battery and either lock and unlock the doors with the remote or use the key to lock and unlock the drivers door. This should force it to reset. If this does not work, drop me a line and we can go further. Good luck,Chuck

Automatic door locks will not work

Probably the door actuator - a part inside the door that activates the lock, particularly if neither the interior lock switch or the remote do not lock the door.  Once the doors lock the horn will beep again - the lack of beep indicates the vehicle is not secure.

Horn blows fuses

you may need to put a relay in it as the current from the horn may be back feeding up the immobiliser horn circuit and causing a short. Sounds like the immobiiliser has its own source of power seperate from the factory circuit When you press the horn the power goes to the horn and up the immobiliser horn circuit and it blows the fuse.

Random Horn Blowing

Wiring short, or incorrect wiring of your alarm system. Go through the wiring, and make sure everything is connected to what it should be, and check the material condition of those wires while you're in there.
