Electric windows not working on citroen c5

Cut twisted cable in drivers door by accident which has caused the electric windows and side mirrors to stop working, after alot of messing about i have just replaced the whole wiring loom in the drivers door but windows and mirrors still dont work. haynes manuel discribes twisted cable as muliplex system wire, answers from other site have lead me to believe its the wire which sends a signal to the can bus node? the last answer i had told me to: " if you have upset it it will need re connecting into the can bus via a computer link to re align the door processor" how do i do this?

SOURCE: No electric windows, mirrors, or door locks

Look in the Engine bay fuse box at Fuse #12 this should be for the power windows. If this checks out OK, it could be a fault with a bad ground wire in driver's side door harness. You should be able to pry the runbber boot from the drivers door, and check the larger Black wire that goes through it. These have been known to break after a few years use. If it is the cable, cut neatly, strip the ends anu use a crimp splice. Hope this is a quick and easy fix for you. If it helps you solve the problem, Please take a moment to rate as Fixya! Thanks.

SOURCE: Driver side electric window doesn't

I would rather believe that your problem is not in the switch, but in the mechanism itself. In any case the door panel must be removed to diagnose this problem.

SOURCE: Installing replacement side mirror on 2007 Subaru Forester

yes... you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you can access the bolts holding the mirror on and disconnect the wiring harness as well..

SOURCE: Radio cuts out windows dont work

I have the same problem with my 96 camaro. I checked the fuses box and the radio, windows and IP dimmer fuses don't have power. More likely is a short in the motor of one of the windows.

Interior lights stay on and power windows and power mirrors will not work at all

Have just disconnected battery on jeep grand cherokee 2004, 05 , the newer bonnet style. Had same diagnosis with a/c not working, electric mirrors not working and driver's window and door lock control not working. Pulled rubber sleeve off door by pulling bottom and top rubber tabs with pliers and rolled back to expose cables, see photo, then used a small connector to reconnect cable, had to take a bit of black sleeving off each cable end and twist cable as normal, then inserted into connector and did up screws tight. Covered in black insulation tape and refitted rubber sleeve to door. Reconnecting rubber sleeve was the most difficult part! Thanks for the ansers here they really helped! Saved me at least 50quid that my local garage would have charged.

Either a fuse problem or could be a twist in the electrical cable in the door joint . Sometimes chafes the outer core away and causes shorts in stuff like this .

Window seems to be jammed by a small rock. Need to remove door panel to get at it.

By what your describing your problem is the window regulator is bad.The regulator is cable operated and is probably broke or twisted causing it to only roll up to the point of the problem. As for removing the door panel, there's a screw under the arm rest, have to remove mirror cover, door lock knob, cover on inside door handle. Then hold on to arm rest lift door panel up gently and it will come off.Their are plastic hooks on the inside of door panel that hook onto the door so be careful because you can brake them off if you yank on the panel
